Firopotamos,Milos

In northern of Milos, 4km. north-east of Plaka,the capital of island,is found one of the most shot landscapes in Aegean,a small gulf, that entertains the graphic fish village of Firopotamos.

Firopotamos entertains one from the better beaches of island and it is a graphic small port built round a natural creek with green all around waters that promise unforgettable moments of beauty and recreation.

In the creek of Firopotamos, exist also sirmata :the small lodges in which are looked after the boats of at the Wintry period and which, the summertimes, the householders use as Summer rural residences.

Φυροπόταμος Μήλου
Στο βόρειο άκρο της Μήλου, 4χλμ. βορειοανατολικά της Πλάκας, της πρωτεύουσας του νησιού, βρίσκεται ένα από τα πιο πολυφωτογραφημένα τοπία στο Αιγαίου, ένας μικρός κόλπος, που φιλοξενεί το γραφικό ψαροχώρι του Φυροποτάμου.

Ο Φυροπόταμος φιλοξενεί μια από τις καλύτερες παραλίες του νησιού και είναι ένα γραφικό λιμανάκι κτισμένο γύρω από ένα φυσικό κολπίσκο με καταπράσινα νερά που υπόσχονται αξέχαστες στιγμές ομορφιάς και αναψυχής.

Στον κολπίσκο του Φυροποτάμου, υπάρχουν και τα περίφημα σύρματα :τα μικρά σπιτάκια μέσα στα οποία φυλάγονται οι βάρκες κατά τη χειμερινή περίοδο και τα οποία, τα καλοκαίρια, οι ιδιοκτήτες χρησιμοποιούν για θερινές κατοικίες

το λιμανάκι σου είναι πολύ όμορφο με υπέροχα νερά και με τα σύρματα να πρωτοστατούν μαζί με τις βάρκες. Εξαιρετικά "καθαρή" απόδοση και κάδρο.

not an easy one Danos,
for a super shot you had to be some more space for the boat unther, so your pov was not realy perfect, but even that I like the shot the fine light and the composition, good clear sea good photojob, have a good sunday.

this is a dream place for photographers, this is a very nice of Firopotamos Gulf, of the marvelous green sea under a beautiful light. The point of view is giving a sense of depth to the photo. The colour and the clarity in the water are an asset to the image.

Olá Danos, these waters are like a dream. So clear and crystaline. Excellent balanced compo with the line of boats and the view all around the creek. I can see that their street is this bay since the entrance of the garages opens to the water. The best detail for me, is this boat in FG, which makes a splendid view from above. Congratulations.

sure, where the water is so much clean like here the photographer can play with flying boats and exciting patterns of lights on the ground of the sea. The sirmatas give a touch of coleur local - a good an convincing advertisement for the region.

Hello Danos,
The crystal clear water allows us a good view on the rocks at the bottom. The different blue tones of the sea are very beautiful.
Remarquable are the trees at the end of the bay. On pictures of the wonderful Kyklades we don't often see much trees.

Boats seem to fly on this transparent water.

Composition with those nice shade of green that are reflected in the water. The boats, as well as the houses, they give a touch of warmth. The whole scene is very balanced against the frame. I believe that it is a very nice place, the chance to breathe.

I'm very curios about your enviable POV. Probably you were at the balcony of one of same house on the edge of Aegean water. Crystal clear water eye catching and invites to jump there. You captured perfectly amazing light plays on sea bed but authentic houses and boats are completes your scene amazingly with blue parts there. Congratulations.

What beautiful radiant turquoise and green colors to this wonderfully clear Aegean Sea water.
The traditional white washed homes with their lovely blue doors make a very effective color contrast against the vibrant sea.

Wonderful crystal clear water in this pool and you have captured very nicely in this frame the boats and part of poolside view.

The color tone of the water is really very attractive and how nice to be in the pool for a cool swim. I can imagine this place swarmed with crowds of people in the summer time.

Undoubtely the main and best feature of this photo is the incredible transparency and colour of the sea, a sea that looks like a swimming pool... bat also the pov (you should have been on board of another boat I guess) plays a good role showing the small boat from above and floating in this emerald water. Last the composition which shows a bit of the beach with the small house contribute to give the right sense of depth. An envyable sharpness and a very enjoyable imagine with the smell of Greece.

The presence of the boat has an effect of scale. The point of view leads our eyes toward the beach in the background. The houses are framing well the sea. The colors are enhanced by the good light which is giving a good contrast to them. Have a nice day.

this water...it is absolutely amazing! It is the dominant in this photo, water scenery of fantastic colour and clarity. Boats feel like floating on air, so great is the transparence of the water. Impossible not to be impressed when seeing this sea scenery.
