[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's quite rare to find Komi beach in hios empty, during summer months.Komi is located 4 Km outside the village of Kalamoti. Komi is a seaside settlement, with a vast sands, one of the most beautiful and popular beaches of Hios Island. Most of the summer time season the sea is perfectly calm and the visitor can enjoy sea sports and swim.
The latest years Komi has produced a rapidly development and become one of the most popular tourist area on the Island. . In the central pedestrian of Komi there are many restaurants and taverns where anybody can enjoy delicious and tasty delicacies, fresh fish and many other savory kinds of the Greek cuisine. More over there are many rooms to let and apartments suitable to offer the visitor a comfortable summer resort.

Η Κώμη βρίσκεται στο νότιο τμήμα του νησιού, 4 χλμ από το χωριό της Καλαμωτής. Είναι μία από τις ομορφότερες και πιο κοσμοπολίτικες παραλίες του νησιού που προσελκύει πάρα πολλούς επισκέπτες. Είναι αμμώδης και ιδανική για παιχνίδια και ηλιοθεραπεία. Τα νερά της είναι καθαρά και ζεστά. Διαθέτει ομπρέλες, ξαπλώστρες και ντουζ. Στην περιοχή υπάρχουν πολλά εξοχικά σπίτια ντόπιων, καθώς και πλήθος ξενοδοχείων και ενοικιαζόμενων δωματίων. Υπάρχουν επίσης αρκετά εστιατόρια, fast food, και ψαροταβέρνες με φρέσκα θαλασσινά, καθώς και πολλά μαγαζιά και super market. Η περιοχή έχει έντονη νυχτερινή ζωή κατά τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες καθώς έχει αρκετές καφετέρειες και bar.

A beautiful beach, sandy I see - I like these. A lovely, natural composition, with good colors and sharpness. Indeed a nice place for a vacation, although I prefer a little shade now and again.
