Photographer’s Note

Hi guy's this is my first post here.Just after some c/c
on this photo as it is my first time using photo shop.
This pic was taken in a beautiful village called assos on the greek island of kefalinia.

Hi Brad,
Welcome to trekearth from me!
New to Photoshop:);…there is a looong way ahead of you but I think it will be rewarding.
First about the composition: In a vertical format photo you don`t want to have horizontal lines, like here.
The layout should match the subject, so if the things of interest, like a beach, or a chain of mountains or whatever are laid out horizontally, you should choose the landscape format…that is why is called “Landscape”:)
The other format, the “Portrait” is for…you guessed the vertical subjects, like people, very high and close mountains, etc.
You`ll figure it out later and to help you with that, I recommend to browse the painters, yes ,the painters galleries because humans paint since Ice Age but they started to take photos barely 150 years ago.
I have lots of resources for Photoshop; just let me know if you need help but don`t forget, Photoshop is just a tool, not the purpose of Photography…

Hi Brad,
here living in desert it attracts too much the greenry and the water to our eyes as the whole life is there, it is a nice shot that show both side.
