Photographer’s Note

Zakynthos(Zante)island:
here photo and INFO the third in size of the islands of the Ionian Sea, the green island of poetry, of song and love, the native land of D. Solomos,here Dionysios Solomos
(see my WS1+2 another shots with statue D.Solomos and crown) here statue in WS1+2 the writer of the Greek National Anthem but also that of St. Dennis, the Patron Saint. Rich in beauty and tradition, both historical and cultural, Zante is the "ideal" of any traveler with an exploring mind.

... When the ferry arrives at the port, especially at dusk, it feels as though you enter the port of Venice. On the one side you will see the lit church bells of the St. Dennis Cathedral and on the other side the picturesque Main Town with the snake like road to the hill of Bohali (2km) and the Venetian Fortress(3km). The view of the port and the town from above is simply breathtaking and even more enjoyable when you are seated at one of the many open air cafes or local tavernas ...etc,,,

Αχ, βρε Γιώργο. Έχω να πάω πολλά χρόνια στη Ζάκυνθο και μου φέρνεις στο μυαλό πολλές καλές αναμνήσεις. Ένας απ' τους καλύτερούς μου φίλους μένει εκεί.
Τεχνικά μου αρέσει πολύ η υψηλή ευκρίνεια που έχεις χωρίς υπερβολές στην οξύτητα (που πολλές φορές κάνω εγώ). Η ατμόσφαιρα μάλλον δεν σε βοήθησε αλλά το αποτέλεσμα είναι ιδιαίτερα επιτυχημένο νομίζω.

You present us with a sweeping view across the port with lots to take in. The cruise ships add to the holiday atmosphere. Good framing. Very good colours and clarity.

Γεια σου Γιωργο,
Πολυ καλη πανοραμικη αποψη της νησου με το λιμανι να δεσποζει στο κεντρο της.Ισως αν προσεθετες λιγο οξυτητα και αντιθεση να ηταν ακομη καλυτερο το αποτελεσμα.
Παρολα αυτα η ληψη ειναι εξαιρετικη και το σημειο της επισης.

Montez, prenez de la hauteur, et regardez ce magnifique paysage offert à nos yeux éblouis !
Un panorama éblouissant malgré un temps incertain (j'aime également les photographies qui ne profitent pas toujours d'un ciel bleu azur) !

Very good composition and landscape. And this time the high POV is the reason (or one of the reasons) of this succesful photo. Also I think the light for the photo is very good.
