Arch bridges

Arch bridges are arch-shaped and have abutments at each end. The earliest known arch bridges were built by the Greeks and include the Arkadiko Bridge. The weight of the bridge is thrusted into the abutments at either side. Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is currently building the largest arch bridge in the world, which is scheduled for completion in 2012.... from wikipedia
- Locality: The locality that you see belongs in the mountain Othrys. The altitude of place here is roughly 900m. it is near the villages Vrynena and Kokoti and near t o Monastery Ano Xenia. in distance 35km from the my city Almyros. The subject of picture includes a old stone bridge in a graphic wintry river.
- Motive: What me prompted to make this choice captured was the environment of bridge and the natural beauty here. What it knows and gives the locality in the spectator and visitor they are the chromatic effects luminous and shades on the water mirror

Γιώργο καλησπέρα,καταπληκτικό χαρακτηριστικό σκηνικό απ τις ομορφιές της πατρίδας μας!Εξαιρετικό το όρθιο καδράρισμα!Ετοίμασα ένα απλό WS προσπαθώντας να "ζωντανέψω" λίγο χρώμα-φώς,ελπίζω να το βρείς ενδιαφέρον!

Georgios,
Your POV and composition are great here. I like the use of the stream to lead the eye under the bridge. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The overhanging limbs provide nice framing for the scene.

Still one of these charming bridge of Greece. The centring is very nice, the blue light on the water of the river is very successful. Three photos, it is the one that I prefer.

Πολύ όμορφο γεφύρι και έξοχα φωτογραφημένο από εσένα! Εξαιρετική εκμετάλλευση του φωτός αλλά και της διαμόρφωσης του τόπου για ιδανική λήψη. Ο κορεσμός χρωμάτων αλλά και η οξύτητα κυμαίνονται σε υψηλά επίπεδα. Μου αρέσει πάρα πολύ και σε συγχαίρω!

Μπαίνω στο intrnet από ξένο Υ/Η με χάλια μόνιτορ, και δεν μπορώ να δω πολύ καλά τη φωτό. Πα' όλα αυτά όμως μου δίνει την εντύπωση μιας πολύ πλήρης φωτογραφίας, σίγουρα ως προς το κάδρο (εκτός ίσως από μια μικρή κλίση προς τα δεξιά) αλλά και από χρώματα και κοντράστ που απ' ότι μπορώ να συμπεράνω πρέπει να είναι φανταστικά.

Ακόμα ένα πανέμορφο τοπίο, που η πολύ καλή φωτογράφηση αναδεικνύει όλη την ομορφιά του.
Πολύ καλή η απόδοση του νερού ,δίνει την αίσθηση της ελαφριάς κίνησης του αλλά και της "φρέσκιας", δροσερής υφής του.
Πολύ πετυχημένος επίσης ο διαφορετικός φωτισμός των επιπέδων, πράγμα που δίνει την αίσθηση του τρισδιάστατου στην όλη σύνθεση σου.

Hello Georgios,
I just found your gallery with full of beautiful shot from your country. This charming one caught my eye, with its wonderful nature and an old arch bridge. The POV and composition are great. Light and colours are pleasant and the depth and sharpness excellent. I especially like the river with the stones, forming a small rapids just under the bridge and smoothing out after it. The ripples and the reflections on the water are beautiful.
As for the WS's. I might like WS1 even more than this for its warmer colours. :-)
