Photographer’s Note

Here you can see two of the "trademarks" of Kerkyra. You can see, one more time, the Holy Monastery of Panagia Vlahernon (17th century), on that islet at the end of the pier, and behind that Pontikonisi (means "mouse island). The photo is taken from a hill called Kanoni (means "canon") that took its name during the French occupation of the island, because of the French canons that were put there. On the right side of the picture you can see, part of the
Halikiopoulou lagoon.

The subjects are trademarks of Kerkyra, as well as the trademarks of "Cretense photography". This cannot be the sky which gives the colors, there should be something burning around there, right? Great geometrical composition, it looks like a photography lesson by Pythagoras or Thales.

he de reconocer que me gustó más la primera que colgaste del mismo lugar. Las nubes me apasionan,de hecho le saco infinidad de fotos al cielo que nunca llegaré a colgar.
De esta me quedo con los tonos dorados y con la impresionante vista que hay del lugar des de donde está tomada.

I like the colors, the sharpness, the scenery, the POV and composition: from all of that, I'd like to point out the three straight lines you used in the picture (two of them are the shoreline of the harbor and the other the pier), they gave a very nice effect to your photograph!

What a magnificent view! Wonderful lines and shapes and colors!! The water is so still and that light so warm. Hi Hercules, fantastic colors you get with this sunset. It looks so peacful but i learn from a friend few years ago that the reality is completly diferent when you show me a holydayvideo where we could see that each 3 minutes a plain pass is low here to land at Corfu. I was realy disapointed but at photo's the place is still idylic.

composición magistral, tiene tu firma en el tratamiento de la luz y los colores de la puesta de sol. Haces que este tipo de escenas parezcan fáciles de conseguir, y todos sabemos que tienen gran dificultad, que tú resuelves con una gran técnica y un gran know how.
Me gusta la foto, es elegante y muy rica gráficamente, tiene profundidad y un gran nivel estético. Los tonos naranja son magníficos, y junto a los brillos y reflejos en el agua concuerdan con el título de la foto, es un momento de contemplación.

Για μια ακόμη φορά με εντυπωσιάζεις με τα χρώματά σου. Οι γραμμές της σύνθεσής σου είναι λες και κτυπούν από τοίχο σε τοίχο πάνω στα όρια του κάδρου σου. Μόνο η οξύτητα μου δείχνει λίγο πεσμένη, ίσως και να κάνω λάθος.

Τα υπέροχα χρώματα και η ψηλή γωνία λήψης δίνουν αυτή ακριβώς την αίσθηση που δικαιολογεί απόλυτα τον τίτλο σου, Ηρακλή,
αλλά το άκαρδο κροπάρισμα τέρμα αριστερά - του δυνατού γεωμετρικού σχήματος που σχηματίζουν οι ευθείες γραμμές της προβλήτας καθώς έρχονται απο την απέναντι όχθη με προορισμό την Παναγία - κάθεται άσχημα στο μάτι μου.
ίσως φταίει η θέση που σε περιόριζε ή ο φακός που δεν είναι αρκετά ευρυγώνιος, ίσως πάλι να μην 'φταίει' τίποτα και να το προτιμάς έτσι, εμένα πάντως μου λείπει η γωνία που λέιπει ;)

να περνάς καλά και καλή τύχη στο νέο περιοδικό!

Hi Hercules,
Great shot from this well known place. From the small pier going over the lake you can watch the plains flying over to land a hundred meters further.
Both shots(also the older post) of this place please me very well. In both the clouds play an important role giving it the pic the right dimension.
