Photographer's Note
This is Karavostasis, the small village and harbour of Folegandros. There is no "trick" in Photoshop, it's the real thing just a slight increase of contrast and saturation. Let me explain:
The days that I stayed in Serifos and Folegandros (or most of the them) the whole country was covered by a thick layer of red african dust due to south winds. Certainly not the ideal conditions for taking photos. The first 3 days in Serifos I didn't take more than 10 pictures. Then a north wind started to blow clearing the atmosphere for 2 days, giving me the opportunity to do my job.
When I went to Folegandros, the south winds started to blow again, more calm this time, the atmosphere got "heavy" once again, thank God, not that bad as it was on the first days of my stay in Serifos.
Then on the 3rd and last day in Folegandros, this strange thing happened. I had not seen anything like this before in the Greek islands. A cloud was flying right above sea level, and then like a serpent started to embrace the island following each and every mountain, hill, cliff and valey.

Olá Hercules,
It's a great moment to capture on film. I like seeing the tsunami of clouds. Very nicely captured and composed shot from a very good POV.

Hello Hercules,
The winding road is a very good lead to the village by the sea!
And indeed those clouds seem rather compact, probably bringing some rain...
A well balanced composition, fine feeling of depth and good colours!
Greetings,

Hercules, nice capture, great detail and the cloud is just awesome. Color is also super and the converging lines of the land make a nice composition to show off the dramatic clouds.

Μου θυμίζεις την φωτογραφία σου "Smoking can kill you".

Hi Hercules,
The "flying" cloud would really scare me if I was standing where you were. You must be a very calm person, not scared and not run away, instead you took the photo of the incredible clouds from a high hill to show how it was coming towards like giant waves.
Congrats!

Kalimera Hercules.
Carlos.

Geia sou Hirakli,
Very strange phenomenon. We indeed wonder if they are clouds or a giant wave. And I am really happy whether it is clouds!!!
But you should not forget either tones excellent centring with the road which takes us to Karavostasis and the very beautiful colors of the vegetation between stones.
Beautiful, Bravo,

Hi Hercules...
almost every day I found myself here to give some comment to your Greek shots!
I'm boring... I know.
But you capture places I love so much... for many reasons... and you can "paint" them so well... without betray their beauty and untouched poem.
Thank you
Chiara
