Photographer’s Note
This is Lake Koroneia, the most polluted in Europe. It is a toxic mix of agro chemicals and botulism. Migrating birds die by the hundred if they stop here.
It is in a very shrunken state at the moment. There is a rowing club to the left which is now some distance from the edge of the water. There are fish tavernas down there offering fresh trout. I dont think they do good business. If you have seen 'Simpson's - The Movie' this is worse.
In the fr distance you can just see the mountains of the Bulgarian border.

Hello Phil
Yes, a deceptively attractive scene - from a distance. Very well shown, with great clarity and colour. Your note is indeed useful - we need to know more about these noxious areas. Name and, perhaps, shame.
Best wishes Maggie

Hello Phil,
Considering the state of the lake, there is very good clearness in the atmosphere letting you capture such distant details in your image.
The warm autumn colours in the FG give way gradually to the cooler blues and greys in the middle ground, and then on into the distance, giving an excellent sense of perspective,
Regards,
Peter.
