When the sun sets in Kastellorizo Photo

Photographer’s Note

Kastellorizo is one of the most beautiful Greek islands I have visited and remains far from the tourist trail because of its isolated position from the rest of Greece. Situated 72 miles from the nearest part of Greece and only 1.5 miles from the Turkish coast, kastellorizo, also known as Megisti or Meis in Turkish, is the first island in Greece to see the sun rise and the first to see sunset. In fact the island is further east than Istanbul.
The island has only 200-250 permanant inhabitants and remains very quite for most of the year. The island is blessed with sun (it's the sunniest island in Greece) and clean blue-green waters surrounding the island.
This photo was taken at sunset from a nearby hill, looking down onto the harbour!

Your composition is nice using the reflection to enhance the colors and create depth. The low angle lighting is great yielding warm colors and deep shadows.
