A box of barbounia, red mullet, not very cheap at 18 euros (roughly 25 US dollars) for a kilo. Sea food is generally getting expensive in the Mediterranean area due to overfishing.

Red mullet!!! hmmm I've enjoyed one last year in Greece..it was my first time I tried one but I liked it a lot.
It's a beautiful fish to see..sad that it has to be in a death way, but it's red colours are beautiful..especially in your photo! Good detail too and nice light on their scales. Good catch with fine sharpness. Try to avoid thought, to capture one's leg within the frame, except for that point, good isolated framing.

Excellent colors/contrasts showing the fresh mullets with a very seductive warm rose colortone, a fine capture, graphically well isolated with the price on top and the leg aside as framing element, a good photo Gert.
