[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture is from Frangokastello on the south coast of Crete. The village has taken its name from this 14th century Venetian fortress, where the local rebel leader Daskalogiannis and his troups surrendered to the Turks in 1770 after a failed uprising.
Today Frangokastello is a very quiet, small scale tourist resort stretching along the sea for 2 or 3 kilometers. There are several nice sandy beaches, which is a bit unusual for this part of Crete where most beaches are pebbly.

Hi Gert,
Your photos are getting better all the time. This is a fine capture with the rocks and the girl inthe foreground. The pastel colours of the mountain is also very fine. Interesting note as well.
Regards
Gunnar

Interesting shot of Crete, never seen this before which makes it more interesting. A nicely composed shot although if the lady had been looking straight ahead that would have been better or facing you with her feet in the pool of water. Great shot though

Hello Gert!
I like your seascape for the excellent pov and composition. The hasy diagonal of the mountain and the "nymph" with the wine bottle in front add space to the scenery. If the castle was not so well renovated it would be more interesting, but that's not your problem, of course...
Congratulations for presenting so many facts in one single shot!

Hi Gert,
this is an amazing place. Great POV. I like you have included the lady as well. She brings some life to this paradise. TFS

Très bonne composition. Et la femme au premier plan ajoute un très bon équilibre à ta photo.

Hello Gert,
nice the view of Frangokastello from this distance with your model to sitting on the rocks and to add a nice human presence in your shot.I like the warm colours of the sun as and the light too.A well managed capture in multi levels with sharpness and details.Well done.

Regards,Danos

Hi Gert!
Nice shot of beautiful Frangokastello. The girl is very well placed too. I like alos that you hid the ugly buildings which unfortunately are build so close to the castle.
Regards
Andres
