Photographer’s Note
A diadem from 4th century BC discovered in one of the Macedonian royal tombs in Vergina, owned by one of the wives of Philip of Maedon, father of Alexander the Great.
In fact the situation was quite interesting. I never saw an interdiction for taking photographs entering the museum as in other museums. However, I supposed that it was banned. But I could not resits to the beauty of these wreaths, they were as something never seen before, so finely crafted, chefs d'oeuvre!
And the decoration and lighting were so perfect! Behind the diadem there were little golden Vergina stars posed on purple cloth.
I thought to myself, there were no restrictions indicated in the walls or somewhere, maybe it's not banned.
I used my 50 mm f/1.8 lens - perfect for low-light shots, no flash. However, after I took the photo and the sound from taking a photo was heard, one of the women working in the museam said loundly something in greek containing the word φωτογραφία "photo" that I recognised, I unsderstood that it might have been forbidden.
So this was the only photo I took, but they didn't ask me to delete it, they didn't tell anything to me in person by the way.
However, I know that this shot can only make viewers curios to go and see the other treasures exposed in this museum, because they are really spectacular.

Snezhana...
This a great picture and a wonderful description, not just of this amazing piece of art, but of your experience in the museum as well :) That was really funny.
I'm glad you had a 1.8 lens with you and you did a very good use of it. The shallow deph-of-fiel works perfectly here. Very well done.
Now I'm feeling like I want to visit this museum.
Warm regards
