Photographer’s Note

I cought this old lady waiting for the church of Agios Dimitrios to open...

A sunny afternoon of March, 2007.

I liked how she turned her back to me and waiting. I found the frame of this shot very nice. I also like the afternoon shadows on the church.

beautifull composition; it's very well done with the light and the tree. You get a nice light on the old lady.
The vertical frame is the good one.

Hi Mpampis. The framing is nice and quite balanced indeed; the lady sitting and waiting in front of the church makes for a contemplative mood, and she is positioned well between the foreground tree and the lamppost. Nice shadows on the wall and good choice with the vertical format. I don't see a "Decisive Moment" here though.

Γεια σου Μπάμπη,
Πραγματι πολυ ωραια στιγμη με την κυρια να περιμενει να ανοιξει η Εκκλησια.Βεβαια ειναι και ο καταπληκτικος φωτισμος καθως και η σκια του δεντρου στον τοιχο.Θα ηταν και μια υπεροχη ασπρομαυρη φωτογραφια.Δεν δοκιμαζουμε ενα workshop?

Ομορφη στιγμη,απεικονιζει πληρως τον τιτλο σου,
Αυτο που μ αρεσει περα απ ολα τα στοιχεια της(ευκρινεια,απαλος φωτισμος.οξυτητα)ειναι η αντιπαραθεση δενδρου-λαμπας με κεντρο τον ανθρωπο...

Μπράβο Μπάμπη.
Πολύ καλή λήψη.Μου δίνει έντονα την αίσθηση της μοναξιάς και της μάταιης αναμονής.
Τέλεια τοποθέτησή των όγκων σου στο κάντρο δίνει την αίσθηση του τρισδιάστατου.
Πολύ καλή τονική διαβάθμιση.

ΥΓ. Γιατί τοσο μεγάλα γράμματα?Αυτό το κάνουν αυτοί που θέλουν να τραβήξουν την προσοχή απο το θέμα εαν δεν είναι τόσο καλό. Εσύ δεν το χρειάζεσαι αυτό.

Πολύ ωραίο το θέμα της φωτογραφίας σου. Τα απαλά χρώματα είναι πολύ όμορφα και ιδιαίτερα προσθέτει το πίσω μη-εστιασμένο μέρος με την κυρία. Όμορφα!

A little moment of peace and silence for the old lady here Mpampis. I like the details included and also the play of the shadows is good for this compo. Small daily life moment in a good setting.

Πανέμορφη (σύλ)ληψη! Καταπληκτική σύνθεση και καδράρισμα, νομίζω ότι αναδίδουν ακριβώς αυτό που ήθελες να δώσεις με αυτήν την φωτογραφία. Ακόμα πιο ενδιαφέρον είναι το πώς εκμεταλλεύτηκες και το ζωηρό φως υπέρ αυτής της ατμόσφαιρας. Μια σκοτεινή λήψη θα ήταν πιο προφανής ίσως, αλλά θα την έκανε απλώς μελό.
