Photographer’s Note

I took this photo on the last day of my trip to greece.i wanted to have a photo of a ship sailing away from the marina and avoid capturing cars or people who were crossing the busy street.i wasn`t pleased that i did catch someone in the frame but eventually i realised it added a nice touch though i didn`t get the whole of them in the frame.
it was taken on a cloudy rainy day so i added some colour to the water and sky.

The idea is really interesting, the way you composed it pretty pertinent. I just regret the technical realization : the low contrast and the colors are not that good. That's a pity.

Chiar ca se potriveste acest titlu cu mesajul si fotografia in sine....Interesant crop,chiar creaza impresia aceea de parasire.Insa cel mai mult imi place imbratisarea tatalui si a copilului.
Nu stiu de ce dar imi aduce aminte de melodia lui Elton John "Sacrifice" :)

Cred ca a iesit foarte bine cu cei 2 inclusi in poza. Fara cineva cred ca poza ar fi fost cam goala.

Of course I wanted to comment on one of your photographs from my country too!

This is truely an amazing composition. I find the placement of the people fantastic. Your luck was great. Too bad about the quality, some more sharpness on the people could have done wonders. On the other hand, the haziness of the sea and ship may actually be a good thing. It adds to the melancholic quality.
I think I would try cloning out the metalic pillar in the foreground.
