Photographer’s Note

Ermoupoli, the capital of Syros, extends around the large, natural harbour and it is distinguished for its imposing beauty of neoclassical marble buildings, of which still, today constitute the architectural decoration and create an admiration for the visitor. On the hill, above the town is situated the picturesque settlement of Ano Syros, of which until today, the cycladic medieval architecture has remained untouched over the years.

(On the boat going back to Mykonos...)

Hi Korkut. Nice colours all right. I love all the white buildings covering the lower hills. You have caught a wonderful light and composed a great photo. Thanks for sharing.

Salvator Bey'in sandalyeli resmi için "bıcır bıcır" tanımlamasını yapmıştım. Bunun için de rahatlıkla aynı şeyi söyleyebilirim. Demek oralar da öyleymiş. Her tarafın kireç olmaması çooook daha iyi bence. Mor, yeşil, pembe, kırmızı, turuncu gömlekleri evleri dengelemekte kullanmışsın. İyi olmuş. Sonuçta rengarenk olsa da dengeli dağılım olması gözü eşit olarak, yormadan gezdirmemizi sağlıyor. Biraz grenli olup treklens'e yüklenebilecek bir pp yapılmış olsa, Auguste Renoir'in tablolarını andıracak bir çalışma haline gelme potansiyeli var. Akşam olup da turların geri dönme zamanları gelince ne de hüzünlü olur di mi? Halbuki orası da tatil, gittiğin yer de. Bu diyarlarda benzer hisleri yaşayabilmek için Ayvalık'a gidiyor ve oradan adalara olan tekne turlarına katılıyoruz. Orasının sahili de tekneyle ayrılırken bunun gibi gözüküyor. Bıy bıy bıy...

A nice angle and POV showing people on the boat as well as the village and its fine architecture. Nice saturated colors, good sharpness and superb light

You have captured such beautiful lighting here. I find the composition quite pleasing too with the line of people providing a nice diagonal echoing the one of the shoreline. The image is nice and sharp and great colours. Nice work, Korkut.

Lovely one, although I regret all those people in front.
The colours are great, many different ones, also love the warm colour of the sky. Maybe a bit to yellow.
This city is magnificent, I've seen photo's of it in books of Greece (yes I'm addicted, I should have called myself Greekaddict maybe) I have. I like all those houses on the hills. Seems like a lovely island!
I thought Syros was famous for it's clay pots..or was that Serifos..maybe it was for their sponses..hehe I don't remember.
Anyway, good work. Details and sharpness could be improved a little however.
Nicely done.

Pastel renkler gerçekten harika. Gemideki insanların üzerindeki renklerle şehirdeki renkler birbirini tamamlıyor. Çok romantik bir şehire benziyor. Görmek lazım.
