To jump or not to jump... 400th shot! Photo

Photographer’s Note

When we visited Navagio beach (it was a very hot day!) and during our staying on the cruize boat, almost ready to depart, I found the opportunity to "test" my zoom lens 70-300mm. So, I followed this little girl from the opposite boat, when she was dubius to jump or not to jump into the cold sea! :)

She was in this position for 5 minutes like she liked to give me the opportunity to photo her.

Finaly, she wasn't jump :( I supose it might was a good shot from her...

BTW, this post is my 400th in TE :)

Maybe I preffered a more open picture but, anyway, I like it. The position of the girl, as she was in a terrible doubt, is lovely...

Hi Mpampi, the title makes me think about a songt title of the Clash (should i stay or should i go), anyway this is a kinda mesmerzing shot. Due to the central placment of the little girl we're brought directly to her dilemma. A very strong and graphic compositon. Hava a fine weekend,

I like the composition a lot, the light and colours are also very nice.
I think given the option I would be in that water in a shot.
It looks incredible especially with the prospect of these cold months ahead. The title is perfect and as mentioned the composition, with the people enjoying the waters in the background increases the dilemma about whether or not this young girl should take the plunge.

A cute image showing us the doubts of this little girl before diving in the blue sea. Unfortunately she lays a bit in the shadow.

That's the question yes.
Good timing, she seems to be sitting with her hands in her hair not knowing what to do. I would jump. The place is terrific to catch a swim. I like how you have isolated this scene. The DOF is nice. Good sea portion. Although the subject is centered this seems not a problem for this shot.

The composition is good as also the moment. But the lens was really necessary for this shot.

Μπαμπη να δεχτεις και τα δικα μου συγχαρητηρια για την 400η σου φωτογραφια.Δεν ειναι μονο οτι ο αριθμος των φωτογραφιων που εντυπωσιαζει,ειναι η δουλεια αυτη καθ'αυτη!Η δοκιμη του φακου σου,απεδωσε μια ακομη ομορφη εικονα και στιγμη.Κρυσταλινη εικονα και λεπτομεριες με πολυ πετυχημενο ελεγχο του φωτος κατω απο τον εντονο ηλιο του καλοκαιριου!

La photo est bien composée avec les structures qui ont des formes géométriques et en opposition cette fille qui hésite à se joindre aux jeux des autres.

However I am stunned, because the bokeh should be higher with 300mm. What is the version of your new 70-300 ? VR ? AF-S ? ED glasses ?

Μια τελειως διαφορετικη φωτογραφια απο το περιφημο ναυαγιο...
Ο τιτλος ειναι οτι πρεπει. Ομορφα χρωματα κ καλο focus.

Olá Mpampis, I like this very much. Good use of the tele. The composition is original as it is the scene captured, with the girl in the edge of a possible jump to the attractive water. Love the graphism of the blurred background - where the girl is looking and where the action is. Very good!
