It is said that this was the pray of a woman-soldier before she was killed.
Theodora was voluntary and secretly enroled in the army of a monastery as a man, in the Byzantine period in a little village in the south of Greece,in Messenia.
She was accused for raping a girl in the monastery in which she works as a soldier.Theodora preferred not to reveal the truth of her condition as a woman because she was supporting all her family with her job, and also for the good of the monastery and its army.

After killing her, the people discovered her naked female body...
She was proclaimed saint, and in the place in which she was killed was built a small church in her name.


A romantic story,isn´t it? Yes , maybe all this is nothing but ancient myths or rumours... but....the facts are that:

-17 big trees in a roof smaller than a car.
-Exactly under the church a little river is born.
