this weekend i headed to Kalamata, where my family comes from.

after a day of swimming, I just relaxed on the balcony, with a glass of wine, to enjoy the sunset over the messinian bay! What more can somebody want!

i recomend to everyone kalamata (or the more touristiki stoupa) for vacations. There are charter flights from most european countries directly to kalamata.

Hi Marianna, great picture. The soft delicate colours, the out of focus background ,all add to the dreamy effect, I think its the view anyone would have after drinking the wine!.

Ppeople say that a glass of wine contains all the sun that during the maturity process grape catched. And this is just the proove that greek wines are one of the best. Nice shot. Have a nice day.

Great idea! I like the simplicity of this, with just the glass of wine and the beautiful sunset and no distractions. This manages to convey the mood and feeling very well. Great work!

Hi Marianna, My parents took me to Kalamata when I was 12, and I have lots of good memories especially the food. Very lovely and laid back composition here. The colors are very pleasing, and of course the perspective is splendid. Best wishes - Danilo

I think this is really excellent Marianna. Its a very simple concept, but you've executed it superbly. The colours are superb and I like how the colour of the sunset is echoed in the glass of wine. Great technique; there is just enough blur in the background and your composition is very good.
You've done everything right here in my opinion, good work.

Bonjour Marianna,
assurément la photo la plus originale de ta galerie.
Il y a ici la recherche de la cohésion des couleurs, celle du fond de l'iamge et celle du vin.
Excellente netteté avec en plus cette DOF impeccable qui donne du relief dans cette photo aux lumières et aux teintes douces et chaudes.

Why does Greece have this effec on photographers! I went to Santorini in May this year and photographed bottles and glasses at sunset. It must be something to do with sunsets in Greece!
