Mykonos - A beach near the city Photo

Photographer’s Note

A typical beach near the old harbor of the Chora of Mykonos. You rent an appartment into the Chora and then you can swim few minutes later.

The waters as you can see are clean because the harbor it's at a logic distance and it's not so closed.

This photo is somewhat a continue to this one of mine...

A "summer sunray" at the middle of this winter. The summer it's only 4,5 months away! :)

Hi Mpampis,
A well composed shot rendered with great clarity, contrast, and colour. I love the crystal clear water and the gradations of hues in the ocean as the eye moves further into the frame. The details on the shoreline can be clearly seen and the people walking enhance and warm the scene. Well seen and captured.

A beautiful summer scene, Mpampis, very nice and soothing to look at after a cold and foggy winter day over here. The play of light on the low water is nicely shown, the colors look very natural, and the walking people are a good lively inclusion. Framing-wise, I think you could also have tried to point the camera slightly lower, resulting in a bit more water and a little less sky.

Good shot and good emphasis on the clean and nice color of the water. I stayed in a nice inn in one of those buildings on the waterfront at right run by the sweetest old Greek lady. Great Island.

Hi Mpampis. That water sure is amazingly clear. I might have had the polarizer set to a stronger setting but everything else is excellent. Great shot Mpampis.

Τι έγινε; Χάθηκες ... Βέβαια και εγώ δεν πάω πίσω.
Το βοτσαλάκι κάτω από το νερό είναι όλα τα λεφτά στην φωτογραφία σου. Πολύ όμορφη!!

ΥΓ: Πάντως εγώ δεν νοσταλγώ ακόμα το καλοκαίρι. Δεν ξέρω τι θα κάνω σε λίγο καιρό, αλλά ακόμα κρατάω.

Bonsoir mon ami Mpampis,
Comme il est agréable de voir une image d'été avec cette eau d'une limpidité incroyable, cette plage bordée de petits immeubles gorgés de soleil, ces palmiers qui nous font des clins d'oeil (une sorte d'invitation à venir au plus vite découvrir cet endroit enchanteur).

Kalimera Mpampis,
-11°C in my village this morning I get sort of a thermal shock when I see your photo ;-)
But it is well exposed (not easy with these flashy whites) and I like very much the water clarity we can see well in the foreground as well as the greening towards emerald as we move farther to the houses, lovely summer view.

Περνάει γρήγορα ο καιρός και θα τα απολαύσουμε και φέτος (πιστεύω).
