Caldera Sunset Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hi everyone! This photo is taken this summer in Santorini and, as many of you should know, it is the well known Caldera sunset. I really believe that I could have taken a better shot of the sunset, because it seems to me that the focus is not so good. Waiting for your opinion. By the way, thank you for your critiques!

Maybe too much sky at the top, Eleni. Perhaps not usefull since there are no clouds. I've done a workshop. All the best, Aleksandar

Great shot! So peaceful and tranquil.
I always forget this rule when I am looking through the view finder composing photos.
Teachers always stress: Don't forget the rule of thirds! Which basically states don't place the horizon directly in the middle of your photo, instead use two thirds and one third (2/3 - 1/3) in the composition of your photos, or you can do one third, one third and one third I suppose (1/3 Land - 1/3 Water - 1/3 Skyline).
I like the way you caught that sun dipping behind the peak.
Otherwise a nice choice of subject and a good job.

Πραγματικά φοβερή φωτογραφία από την πασίγνωστη δύση της Καλδέρας. Η Σαντορίνη είναι από μόνης της μια ζωντανή πινακοθήκη πανέμορφων εικόνων.

Τα χρώματα απαλά και πανέμορφα. Λίγη -τόση δα!- οξύτητα της λείπει να είναι αριστούργημα.

Πολυ ομορφα χρωματα, τυπικα της Σαντορινης Ελενη. Το μονο που θελει λιγο διορθοση ειναι να ισιοσης τον οριζοντα κατα τα αλλα πολυ καλη.
