Photographer’s Note

Testing my brand new lens Canon 100mm f/2.8, Macro USM.
Very sharp lens and quite difficult to use!
A macro lens is actually a telephoto of a small distance. I mean that it gives you a kind of flat photo with a tiny DOF (mm).
You have to try to place the lens as parallel as it gets to the surface you shooting because of the small DOF.
Now picture this, Shooting with a camera weight more than 1,5 kg (with the lens) in a middle of a summer (August) day in Greece and the black camera strap around your neck collecting heat from the burning summer midday sun, trying to stand still for the shot, aren’t the best conditions for taking pictures!
I was so sweaty, I remember, I mean everywhere! I had to hit the shower after a half hour shooting.

It was worth it though!
