Mykonos - "Little Venice" Photo

From my recent short summer vacations at Tinos and Mykonos islands. This is the most photographed sight in Mykonos island, the famous "Little Venice"

Short infos about "Little Venice" in Mykonos:
Many of the early ship's captains built distinguished houses directly on the sea here, with wooden balconies overlooking the water. Today this neighborhood, at the southwest end of the port, is called Little Venice. A few of the old houses have been turned into stylish bars, which are quite romantic at twilight.

Mykonos hides a lot of surprises. One of these are the settlement of Aleukantras or the Little Venice, people used to call this area which is really unique.
It is found to the east side of Mykonos harbour. It begins from the beach of Aleukantras and arrives to the old district of Castle.
Little Venice characterize from the intense colours that are dyed the houses.

Seems you found the ideal weather and scenery to use your new polarizer, Mpampis :) Lovely to have the deep blue sky as a topping for this beautiful view of the colorful buildings along the bending shoreline. Nice light captured, and a good rendition of the dynamics of the see meeting the embankment.

Βρε, βρε καλώς τον. Να σου πώ καλό χειμώνα ?? Μπά, όχι από τώρα.
Εξαιρετική φωτογραφία, καρτ-ποσταλ από την Μύκονο. Ζωντανά χρώματα, άριστη οξύτητα και πολύ καλός φωτισμός. Μ' αρέσει πάρα πόλυ η θέση απ' όπου την τράβηξες. Πόλύ "δυνατή" φωτό, μπράβο Μπάμπη!!

The combination with the sea and the great perspective through the splendid houses to the rightshand, the silhouettes of mountains on the back against the blue sky, give a great image Mpampis!

Υπέροχη, ολοζώντανη φωτογραφία. Αισθάνομαι τον αέρα να με χτυπά στο πρόσωπο. Το πολωτικό σου χάρισε υπέροχα χρώματα και εκθαμβωτικό λευκό. Πολύ καλή η γωνία λήψης, ίσως εγώ έκανα ένα βήμα πίσω για να φαίνεται ολόκληρο το πλακόστρωτο δρομάκι. Καλή συνέχεια!

Hi Mpampis,
I have always heard about the famous Mikonos island and this picture show why. It appears to be a really wonderful place and must be very interesting staying on these houses on the waterfront. Great composition and amazing colours.

Γειά σου Μπάμπη, ένα απο τα πιό γνωστά σημεία της Μυκόνου, καταγεγραμμενο με μαεστρία από τον φακό σου. Η σύνθεση κάνει το μάτι να ακολουθήσει την γραμμή του μώλου απο τα δεξιά μέχρι το κέντρο της φωτό. Τα χρώματα ζωηρά, μα και φυσικά, και ο φωτισμός εξαιρετικός.

Would hate to think how high those waves could get during the winter. Must be 'the place to be' during the summer months. Great POV and colours.
