Photographer’s Note
Mycenae was the most splendid city of the Greece antique. Its valorous and warlike people dominated from 1400 to 1100 front J.C all the territory of the Greece continental. The sovereigns of Mycenae had surrounded their city by powerful walls which would have 3rd t-piece built by the Cyclops . The fortifications were equipped with two doors located at North and the West. The latter, baptized the Door of the Lionesses, delivered two cat-like to us carved perfectly preserved which constitute one of the first specimens of the Greek monumental statuary.

Very interesting shot - with the wonderful detail of the stones, and then the additional element of the people through the doorway. A unique perspective on this city. Well done!

Très jolie porte et quelle étrange civilisation...
Que de touristes aussi : n'aurait-il pas été plus judicieux de prendre une vue plus désertée afin d'amplifier l'effet de mystère qui entoure le site ?
Amicalement, David

This famous door occupied my imagination even long back in school. Thank you for showing it on such a beautiful way - perfectly lit, with the additional 'people factor' behind.

Nice shot drom, I like how you have used yoru subject, with the doorway to frame another photo inside the photo!
i.e. the people through the doorway!
Its a good idea, its a nice peice of ancient architecture, however I think another interpretation of this photo could be a crop around the doorway concentrating on th epeople outside.
Well done though I like : )

Bonjour et merci pour cette vue sur cette porte mythique qui, à moi aussi, me rappelle des souvenirs émus de congés. Jolis cadrage et couleurs, et lumière bien gérée alors que ce ne devait pas être simple !
Merci du partage !
