Photographer’s Note
Bourtzi fortress in Nauplia bay, argolic gulf, Peloponnese peninsula.
During past Turkish intermezzo, a heavy chain could be drawn up between the Bourtzi castle and Nauplia quay.
A large mole, that has been built by the Turks, was used as an anchor point.
Thereby, Nauplia harbour was protected against possible invaders.
