The wonderful colours of Oia, Santorini. The yellow of the buildings contrast beautifully with the blue of the water.

The towns of Santorini are criss-crossed with many narrow pathways and steps. It makes exploring this photogenic island a joy - never knowing quite what you will discover around the next corner.

you'r right, colours are really wondeful! nevertheless, i think there is too much sea in your shot.is the yellow building typical?

This is a really good postal card Jonathan!
The light is superb, the colors very contrasted, a little bit too much for me.
And the DOF is excellent.

So typically Greek with the sea, blue and white houses.
So marvelously blue - sky and sea.
So perfectly sharp and color balance
So nicely composed with the houses in the bottom third, the dome roof on the right third, and the boat on the sea in the left third...

Great shot of this famous place Jonathan.
My cousin has a poster of this place on her wall. I'd love the opportunity to visit this place sometime. It really does look amazing.

Fantastic shot. I've seen quite of few pictures of this place, and I find they always concentrate more on the buildings. I like that you've shown a good deal of the water instead. It's a really great comp choice.

The views of Santorini always catch my attention. The colors are always wonderful. And yours is no exception. The lighting and colors are just fantastic. the composition is great capturing this view well. The buildings sort of bring the eye downward and then over the wide bay. The little path really helps enhance that. Everything draws the eyes outward but always back to the buildings in the foreground.

Wow, wonderful view. I like the geometric quality these buildings have, which I think is emphasized by this from above perspective. The strong blue color is really great. The picture is really nice with the sea in the "back".

That is a feast for the eyes! When I think of Greece I think this would be the scenery I most relate to. I really like the inclusion of the yellow to offset the blues. How I would love to be in that villa!

Hello Jonathan. Wow, wonderful pastel colors in this delightful scene from Santorini. I like the harmonious blend in your composition between the architectural shapes and angles in the foreground, and the deep view out on the blue sea. The zig-zagging shoreline leading the view towards the small islands in the back helps to establish a good sense of depth and perspective to this view. Very nice shot.

Santorini is an island with great opportunities for great shots like this one!

I love the colors! Very fine captured! And of course, the eternal blue of the greek sea combined with the blue sky and the fine sun! :)

I adore the game between blue and yellow at the "beach photos", but this photo gave me another view to that game.

Jonathan, yes, a wonderful wonderful wonderful image. Santorini is magical, too... I have been in Oia too. If one is looking for design and abstract shapes and forms, curving little streets with lots of white and turquoise, one needs to visit. This photo is superb, giving back the sheer beauty of that magic.

Even if I have seen images from this town for a thousand times, I still cannot resist a good shot from it, and this one is clearly a great one!
I love the colours of this photo and the light invading your photo. the POV you've chosen with this diving view is great and ables us to check the details of the town and at the same time watch ths magnificent bay and all it's colours. I laso like the small boat like if it was lost in the middle of all this water and the mounts behind covered by this soft mist.
