Photographer’s Note
This is the second photo from the beautiful Plastira lake in Karditsa, Greece. I shot this one from the north part of the lake where the waters are more shallow and in some places they get completely frozen and turn into ice. At the north and east part of the lake the altitude of the surrounding land is lower than that of the west and the south. The strange thing though is that there are no villages in the low altitude areas. All villages are on the mountain hills.
You can see my first photo of this amazing lake here: http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Greece/photo152649.htm

Hi Efthymios,
Excellent photo! The composition is fabulous, in particular the way everything on the right, even the clouds, tends to curve round, giving a good depth of field. The colours are lovely with the blues, browns and wonderful white snow. The trees also give interest to the photo adding to the composition. Good note too. Well done!
