A view from Mt Kleidi (approx. 320m) to the north-west.
The landscape is quite far from the foot of the mountain and surrounds the bay of Partheni.
Leros was the island (one of many:)of goddess Artemis who was Parthenos (Virgin) and in the north part of the island roamed her sacred birds (meleagris) until a few decades ago. There was also a temple dedicated to Artemis in the area of Partheni but now there's dispute as to where it really stood.
The long formed island further away is called Arhangelos (Archangel) and in the distance lies another island I love very much, Patmos (about 20 miles away). Maybe you can discern its Chora in the upper left part pf the frame.
The title is due to Mt Kleidi being the background to many of my photos:)
Thank you for visiting

Beautiful panorama with this landscape between water and hills, good effect also with the details with village and boats.

another excellent lookout point and another fabulous view from it!
It shows perfectly the whole uniqueness and beauty of Greek islands and their topography.
Here I like also the color combination of dominating green and blue tones, which create so pleasant visual effect of the scene.
Have a nice day

Lovely panoramic view of the islands with great depth. I liked the fact that you kept the colours muted and not over saturated, which (in my humble opinion) is the best option in most situations since it helps to retain the naturalness. The view of the tranquil water is so peaceful and soothing. The foreground is beautiful too with many interesting details. Thanks for sharing and have a great new day.

A very beautiful and fantastic view over the sea and all these islands. The colours are all in a soft grey and blue hue. A very sharp and attractive scenery here.

A splendid perspective with the succeeding land masses creating an interesting layered effect. The atmosphere was rather hazy resulting in pleasing soft light and tones.

Quel beau point de vue sur les îles grecques.J'aime beaucoup cette petite baie à l'abri d vent pour les voiliers. Quel beau paysage pour un amateur de sports nautiques.

An expansive view, and I love you have created this using layers of land and sea, all tied so nicely into the ancient tales of your note. It is not hard to understand why Greece became the masters of the sea when it obviously plays such a huge part in life here. The mist hanging in the air adds to the mystery too.
Best wishes from Ireland, happy St Patricks day :)

Excellent view down to nice sea bay and the small hills around. Superb deep DOF allows to see the shore with the hills in BG. Excellent light & clarity.
Very well done.

This is a terrific view which looks like it could have been taken from an airplane soon after take-off. I like the repeated pattern of land-sea-land and especially the view of the bots anchored in the secluded bay. The nearest area looks very pleasantly green.

Stunning clear view as far as the horizon with a mountains ridge above the seaway, and an amazing clarity you managed to collect.
Scaled well with the many boats anchored over the bay area, and noticed the green veg.'s "abruptly" ending just in line with the bay - the rest is relatively grey barren land and rocks.

it is hard to believe that the POV for this picture was only at 320 m - it looks like photo taken from very high mountain. The panorama anyway is breathtaking and it must have been wonderful experience to see it in person. I like the DOF which has been helped out by the rows of islands layered on the sea in bery picturesque way. The sharpness is also very good and lets us enjoy the hole view almost right up to the horizon. Pretty colors and framing.
Thanks for sharing

Une vue magnifique, j'aime les courbes des montagnes, le contraste des couleurs avec l'avant plan peuplée de maisons, les voiliers dans la baie, belle présentation

Isn't it amazing what a shift in direction can do for photography...lighting, detail, color, etc., it can evolve dramatically. Now this may be redundant terminology, but the 'organic nature' of the land and seascape merging together within a concise frame looks like a heavenly maze...and one which I wouldn't mind running into a dead end port and be mandated to stay for a while. :)
Although still a bit hazy, there's no denying the awe and inspiring views you must have from here...alternating layers, seemingly as far as the eye can see. The foreground greenery adds a nice dose of color and contrast against the blue waters. I can only assume this is a great place to sit, relax and just take it all in. Lovely! Enjoy the new day. Take good care.

Magnifique point de vue dominant avec une légère brume à l'horizon
Ce serait une bonne occasion pour moi de faire une vue panoramique à 180° si j'avais été présent :)

Hi Ourania, excellent view of the beautiful landscape of islands, beautiful bays, peninsulas and beautiful open sea, very well composed and captured with a good pov on this interesting photo. A nice picture with good sharpness, depth and quality. Nice good job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this interesting work.
Good night and happy rest of the week.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.

Another fine aerial view from this very high vantage point atop the peak. The wineglass shaped bay is lovely and the myriad of yachts seeking shelter there enhance the composition with a repetitive element. I see a few groves of olive trees too. Tfs!

This is a very charming view. In this photo, the Aegean looks like a giant reservoir behind a dam. I'd love to see Patmos one day.
