This is a great abstract pattern.
The comparison with Jenga Tetris is very appropriate.
I really like how you have photographed a building and cropped it in such a way that the pattern becomes more important than the structure.
I think the b&w treatment adds to its impact.
The shades between black and white emphasise the pattern without distraction.
Have a great day,

ancora bianco e nero ed ancora un bel motivo grafico che si avvale di una ripresa nella quale anche la luce aggiunge il suo valido contributo.
Ottima come sempre la nitidezza
Ciao e buona giornata

Your second picture is the most beautiful, alone this is my choice.
Both pictures show a modern architecture with all these balconies.
Sharpness and clarity be superb.
Excellent composition nice presentation.
Very well done, FTS.

Witaj Krzysztof, I like this good photograph of this beautiful and interesting composition with the terraces of the building very well captured in this interesting image with good sharpness. Interesting job perfectly done, congratulations my friend. Thanks for sharing this beautiful work.
Good afternoon and happy rest of the week.
Warm greetings from southern Spain.

Ladny kontrast i ostrosc.

clever and arty B&W study this. Love the diagonals and lines it looks like an Andy Warhol piece. The tonal quality and shadow detailing are excellent and the effect both original and compelling. I hear JayCee is a Jenga Warrior! or have I misspelt that. :-).
Regards - B.

A view upwards on the returning pattern, well taken Krzysztof.
Most usually concrete structures are not suvch a picturesque sight - but with an askewed angle upon, you made it looks intriguing.

Hello Krzysztof ,
Excellent choice of the B&W for this very graphical picture with superb contrasts and a perfect exposure .
chrislo (4097) 2014-02-05 10:00
Excellent graphic composition with strong visual impact. I like the subtle interplay between light and shade, and the way your tight crop emphasizes the contrasts and gives a 3D feeling. The black and white is a good choice to enhance the geometrical patterns of the balconies. The workshop photo has a more dynamic feel, the diagonal perspective and the cloud filled sky all come together to make a very interesting image. Well done.
gildasjan (43824) 2014-02-05 10:36
Un bon cadrage vertical avec ces diagonales et ici le contraste B&W est bien rendu pour une image très graphique.

fajny obraz, niczym budowla z klockow. Dobry pomysl i temat, WS ok. takze.

a wonderful play of diagonals, repetitive patterns and alternating grey tones. You created a solid and elegant composition, filled the vertical frame with graphism and rhythm. I like very much the play of light and shadow, there's a limited range of grey tones and their precise repetition is superb. I know this building, I have a tilted close-up picture of it too:) Your approach is very creative and pleasing. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a good night,

And here it is, awesome! As I mentioned before, you can't go wrong with either version...but yeah, my preference is this one. :)) Looking over some of the comments, it would seem to be a split decision...but what a great choice to have to make, both are worthy of praise! The bigger, bolder, "in your face" kind of patchwork and graphism is what immediately attracted me to this composition. The layering and 3D effect is fantastic, such a fun and exciting architectural style...I'd call it modern chic.
The black & white adds that artistic flare and would appear to suit the construction material just right. As with the WS version, I like that you left a touch of space for the open sky, leaving a bit more to the imagination if you didn't already know what you were looking at...and its some additional contrast of element. I'd love to see what this is like in that Cyan effect too. Thanks for the mention, glad I could help on the decision to post...but the credit is all yours my friend, creative interpretation and visualization is from your keen eye! Excellent! Enjoy the day ahead.
Cheers from the sunny side,
Sure hope no one tries to remove one of these blocks as if it were the actual game!? :o

Witaj Krzysztof, zawsze znajdziesz wspanialy punkt widzenia na zrobienie ciekawego zdjecia. Wyszlo wspaniale i przyciaga wzrok. Super geometria i swietny wybor color czarno bialego. Moje gratulacje. Super zdjecie.
Serdecznie pozdrawiam, Barbara

My choice is this one. I like it more in terms of angle/composition as it creates more appealing visual impact to the viewer....and it seems that the blocks gonna fall on me. Nice effect!
Have a nice day :-)
adramad (48904) 2014-02-06 7:19
Superb composition with this beautiful effect of light and shadows that mark the diagonal of the terraces, which give a beautiful graphic composition, a very powerful image that immediately captures the attention. The B & W is going great for this kind of images.
Good lighting and sharpness.
Have a good afternoon.

I like this a lot, and I love the title. Its been a while since I played Jenga, or Lego for that matter, so I think I might have to dig them back out again!
It creates a beautiful abstract scene to take this slice of this building and view it in this manner, and the light has done so much to help with that too, the dark shadows and area of light look superb.
Thanks for the workshop too to help understand what this building actually looks like in its full form.
All the best

You've observed this well. I've been several times on Syntagma Square and I've never been aware of the possibility of this graphical image.
I have a preference for the main picture. Perhaps the included clouds in the sky could make the picture in the WS more beautiful in colour. Don't know. Just an idea.
Best regards, Paul
macjake (71721) 2014-02-06 13:12
I have to be honest, I think the WS photo is better :)
but thats just a personal preference type of thing.
guess i like the WS one because of the sky as a contrasting element.
It's so funny because you asked Jason for advice but my advice is totally different lol
and yet i respect both of you guys so much!
again, its just personal choice, and both photos are deserving of being posted :)

A subject made up of similar concrete blocks turned to an interesting close up which makes an interesting abstract image. Good angle and perspective, strong lines, light and shadow. Well spotted and captured, Congrats

very nice the tight frame with the created texture from the building to be an important optical effect.I like the creative perspective as the clarity and the beauty of the scene.
serp2000 (45524) 2014-02-08 9:46
It looks some familiar composition for me, I saw similar view from the same point of view on the TE. Anyway excellent b&w photo!

namaste, a nice graphical one. Enjoyed the presentation. Those dark tone are superb and I think it is looking great here in monochrome. Excellent minimal composition. Tfs.

Witaj dear Krzysztof
Ahh this is you at the top of the game. I love your B&W and every time I see one to click on, I feel like a kid at Christmas unwrapping a present under the Christmas tree. Stunning geometries, graphism and 3-dimensional qualities. Your play of light and shade and the diagonal lines really is clever and the whole image looks 3D. This looks like it should be in a museum. I love it. Congrats.
mcmtanyel (27928) 2014-02-20 13:43
This is one of the artsier photos of you. The repeating patterns generated by the balconies (?) are quite pleasant and B&W suits this photo well.
Hansaphotos (8571) 2014-02-21 12:04
Wonderful upwards POV on these balconies, like Lego blocks. Your well chosen b&w highlights the interesting graphical effect. Great work!
Best regards, Erling

The pov is really great and gave you a very special graphism. Perfect in b&w! A very good shot!
