A view from Philellinon Str. at the lower side of Syntagma Square in the centre of Athens.
Before the crisis, it was very difficult to find a available taxi there, we were grateful if we could share a ride with other fellow citizens, I had seen so many places this way:) Nowadays, a long line of available taxis is a permanent sight in many parts of the city.
Thank you for visiting

Well done dear Ourania,
Inspite of the moving texi traffic, the pic. is superbly sharp and well illuminated.
The lit stars shining on the upper part, while the yellow cabs gave a wonderful reflection of those holidays lights.
An excelent point of view, impressive photojob.

Cars and reflections and pretty lights, what more can one ask for? And look, a taxi with your name name written on it (all puns intended). Actually, if you had rotated your name slightly so that its axis is parallel with the line of curvature on the car, the illusion would be perfect!

I love this kind of photography!
You captured here well the bustling character of the city.and as I see from your note it has also second, deeper meaning as a proof to the economic crisis.
Have a nice day

Our countries may be quite far apart, but the similarities can be striking. Dublin too used to be an impossible place to get a taxi, and it was understood that if you went to a nightclub at the weekend, you WOULD be walking most of the way home. Since the changes in the world though, we too have long lines of taxis that queue around the city streets. Although, a recent story I read stated that there the same number of taxis in Dublin as there are New York, so perhaps that also has something to do with it. I don’t know it that is fully true or not, but a strange thought.
Sorry, I digress. Your capture here is very beautiful, the stars lighting up the sky look superb against the inky black background and I like that they are all hanging at different angles too. I think the taxis make a very nice addition to the image, as the stars reflect well in the roof (you taxis are very shiny!!!) and double up the effect from the festive lights, while helping to portray the feeling that this capture comes from a large urban space. Nicely thought out and executed shot.
Thanks as always

This photo is quite catchy from the blue and white stars hanging above the yellow cars. The shape of the roofs also match the curves created by the stars very nicely. This is a well exposed night shot which has also been given an unfortunate symbolic significance from the Greek colours combined with the taxis left empty because of the current crisis.

hello, I like your starry night which you captured using an unusal and equally interesting POV. Great colours. A nice night capture. Tfs.

Awesome capture of those stars! The yellow taxis provided the perspective and additional colors. Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.
