I'm not a black and whit fan and obviously i prefere the WS version...ehehe....but i like your choice too, this is one of the pic perfect to try a black and white, the colors are not important in this composition,a magnificent symmetry taken in the best exposure and fine details everywhere, great original work,i like it! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

the colour version has a different composition and this made me think that it would take a very special artistic pattern to make the colour version lovelier. I absolutely love the stronger contrast created by your wise monochrome treatment. The symmetry of the composition and the contrasting perspectives create a mesmerizing effect. Your composition and framing play with the sense of space, the contrast and the vibrance of the theme. A deep view into the potential of the architecture, an artistic and playful interpretation. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely Sunday,

this one is mesmerising! I love the graphical effect which I think works better in B&W. That does not mean I prefer either one as to be honest I love both of them, but you have given the main image perfect symmetry, which means, I expect that you must like that one more. It would take a lot of work but how about making the bg to the top half of this one gradually fade into colour so that it is a mix of both! Mods would probably kick it out, but it would be fascinating to see. As usual creative and immaculate work and of course a great eye for something more unique and imaginative from you. Superb!
Enjoy your Sunday - B.

Amazing eyes illusion when opening this fabulous image, Krzysztof.
Great idea well applied, razor sharp photo. The color version is also attractive. Superb photojob.

Great photo. Your B&W handled well technically. I prefer the B&W. It is a classic case where B&W is appropriate. The eye can concentrate on the graphic details without being distracted by colour.

Prefer the B&W - the graphical effect is more defined here. Interesting and well presented !

This close shot emphasizes lines and repeated shapes strongly, its renders just the perfect graphical effect leaving much to the imagination. A powerful composition, good pattern shot suits well in mono. Well done

Hello Krzysztof - I like B&W and I like colour and here I think the colour has the edge. To my eye, there is more tonal detail in the colour version which equates to a better feel for the 3D nature of the curved grid. The detail in the sky is more apparent and beautifully rendered and the contrast of blue and creamy-yellow is harmonious and attractive. So on first inspection I prefer the WS. I do not dislike the B&W, it has a stronger graphical feel but on my monitor there is no clean white which I think would add to the punchiness of the shot, I generally like to see white whites and black blacks in B&W's. Perhaps you could tease out just a little more from the tonal range here. In any event a fascinating and well composed shot. Warm regards Rosemary

I do like black and white, and this lends itself well to conversion, the lines and curves are intriguing and as I stare at the shot, they almost seem to be moving like one of those magic pictures! Its great to be able to get this effect so well. Were it not for your note, I would have no idea what this is!
I do like your color version too though, and that gives the sense of being under water. The striking white against blue looks lovely. Its a hard call to pick one over the other, but at a push, I think the black and white for the magical effect it has on my eyes!
Cheers, have a great week ahead

In this highly aesthetic picture, straight and curved lines are so expressive that colors are absolutely unnecessary. Perfectly well done!

so is this part of that weird modern bridge in Athens?
looking at the WS, its funny....at first i told myself i prefer the color version...but now I prefer this black and white one again...yes....the black and white :)
maybe its because this one is a better photograph due to its symmetry and overall balance/composition?
this is one of those photos that starts to move the longer you look at it! haha
cool shot, well done

Love it!" Love the abstract, the symmetry and the glimpses of cloud through the patterns of lines. Exactly my kind of photograph.

Graficzne zdjecie, po prostu op art, doskonale złapałeś symetrię i powtarzalność wzoru
rigoletto (34279) 2013-11-18 7:44
hi krzysztof. for me it is definitely b&w :) i can imagine you working hard to capture the immaculate symmetry. and it worked well.
Cricri (120119) 2013-11-18 10:12
Génial l'effet que cela donne quand on bouge l'image de haut en bas, effet graphique, bien réaliser en N/B, bravo pour le coup d'il et le cadrage
mesutilgim (95378) 2013-11-18 13:03
Amazing b&w capture with perfect graphical effect !
I do not know if you've allready made the same experience I did : scroll it with the mouse up and down, the capture starts to vibrate !!
TFS and best regards

ooh this is making me cross-eyed :) I mean that in the nicest possible way. It's a fantastic abstract photo that would make Calatrava proud. I had a look at your WS and prefer the B&W version for 2 reasons. One is that I love B&W - especially when it's done well as it is here, and two, because this version looks more abstract than the colour version. There is less mystery to the WS, even though it has it's positives.
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day

Chyba jednak bardziej mi sie podoba wersja kolorow, na niebieskim tle lepiej widać chmurki. Wspaniałe graficzne ujecie. Obie wersje znakomite.

I got so carried away by the beautiful patterns that I forgot my manners. I love it!

I've seen so many of Calatrava's works, they are beautiful and spectacular. Nice capture of this architecture with good lighting and sharp details. Well done, tfs.
jcpix (13930) 2013-11-26 18:32
Ooh, tough call on this one, I like both versions equally. So, I'll take...well, both! :) What a mesmerizing and psychedelic effect, I could see this as backdrop for a music video with a futuristic kind of theme.
Wildly fascinating, and most obviously a lesson in symmetry. The dimension perceived is remarkable, and the longer I look at it, the more it morphs into other forms and imagery. It may not quite fit into the category of a Rorschach test, but it sure would be interesting to see what first comes to peoples mind when they view this. Immediate impact for sure!
Another fortifying conclusion that you have a keen photographic eye and smart visualization. I hope this hasn't caused anyone a seizure while trying to adjust their eyes to the graphic punch in the face this carries!? :)
My best wishes,

namaste, a pic here which is full with graphical impact with all of its lines and curves. Great idea to show it like this. I certainly prefer this one than the colour version, it is more effective in such type of presentations. Very well done. Tfs.
danos (98427) 2014-01-02 3:41
very nice the creative texture from Calatrava's construction,at OAKA Stadium.I like the tight frame as the excellent presentation with the WS in color to be more effective in my eyes.
I wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year,Danos

Ciekawe minimalistyczne podejscie do tego popularnego tematu. Bardzo podoba mi sie w tym zdjeciu symetria.
Podobnie jak ty, wybralabym wersje czarnobiala. :)
