View across the caldera from Imerovigili with the little town of Oia in the distance, perched at the very top of the island of Santorini, Greece.

Good Morning Brian
I'm back! Had a great time in Barcelona. A very sharp and clear shot - that single cloud is almost 3D in this shot. Very sharp with great depth and good use of gate as FG interest.

Colours very typical of the Greek Islands are nicely displayed here. The composition is clever and very effective making excellent use of the graphical lines offered by the foreground architecture. Love that cloud streaked sky.

Hello Brian, your imaginative use of the gate in the FG helps to give the shot a really nice depth with good use being made of the upright format.
All the best,

Ciao e buona giornata

Excellent study in white and blue. Amazing composition, great clarity and color purity
Royaldevon (25884) 2013-06-25 10:30
Just so very Greek, in every way! The blue and white are able to take precedence over all other colours, in a most natural way.
The f/g is impacted by the cleanliness and the closed gate, which, happily, we are able to negotiate to move onwards to that wonderful sea. Fine sense of depth.
My warm regards,

Una foto muy bonita y artística, me encanta la composición que has elegido, ligeramente inclinada, rompiendo un poco así la monotonía. Esos colores son magníficos (el contraste del blanco y el azul es genial, huelen a Grecia por todas partes).

I like blue-white tones of colors and light.
An impressive picture.

An idyllic view out over the sea from the isles, this is beautiful! I really like the many lines presented with this composition, the foreground almost feels like a maze as it works its way to the dark blue waters. That little touch of sunlight on the top of the remaining section of land is a delightful bonus, and has been perfectly placed within the frame. Have a great new week ahead.
Best wishes from Phoenix,
