Photographer's Note

Yes there is; a clear reflection! for these wooden boats of the fishermen abandoned to rot in the wilderness! It works hand-crafted by artisans self-taught naval carpenters! because indifference;

Photography when used as a representational art is not a mere copy of nature. This is proved by the rarity of the "good" photograph. Only now and then does one find really "good" photographs among the millions which appear in illustrated papers and books. What is remarkable in this end at the same time serves as a proof is that (after a fairly long visual culture) we always infallibly and with sure instinct discover the "good" photos, quite apart from the novelty or unfamiliarity of the thematic content.

Bonjour Georgios,

There is a certain incongruity between this boat and the tyres bed!

I like the textures and colours of this abandoned boat and yet, there is a sadness, as if it has been beached, like a helpless whale. Whatever, it is certainly a very imposing focal image as it yearns for the nearby water.
Good dof and fine sense of depth. Perhaps a little more space to the right of the boat would give a slightly better balance.

I love how the boat takes up most of the frame, and the angle it is situated on also is compelling. Excellent natural colours and contrasts.

You placed excellent the boat to the rightside, this gives extra space to the left side with the sea.

Simple subject and yet it looks so attractive donimating the scene. This has its own rustic charm in rich contrasting colours with loads of detail to keep the interest in. A dramatic warm cold colour contrast between the red hull of the dry docked boat & the blue sky. Good sharpness & punchy light contrasts. I like the grass growing out of the boat. Looks like its been there a long time! Tfs!

I always feel a bit sad when I see an abandoned boat! Love the wide angle effect, it makes the boat even looking bigger next to the tree... It is well positioned in the frame leaving space to the hill in BG. Light and colours are fine too! I just notice the dog ;)
