Dream Beach, a photo from Lefkada, Ionian Islands

Photographer's Note

In Greece there are many dream beaches.
Almost always they are in a position where the wind, together with other atmospheric factors, fighting for centuries, has eroded the rocks forming stretches of sandy white or pinkish in contrast with the turquoise water feed our desire for the sea also in the winter months.
This is one of many: Katziki Port, west side of the island of Lefkada (Ionian)

In Grecia sono molte le spiagge da sogno.
Quasi sempre esse si trovano in una posizione in cui il vento, insieme agli altri fattori atmosferici, battendo per secoli, ha eroso le rocce formando distese di sabbia bianca o rosata che in contrasto con il turchese dell’acqua alimentano il nostro desiderio di mare anche nei mesi invernali.
Questa è una delle tante: Porto Katziki, versante ovest dell’isola di Lefkada ( Ionio )

Ciao Antonio,
dire che è una spiaggia da sogno è un eufemismo, questa è una meraviglia della natura, quì si sono concentrati tutti i canoni della bellezza, conformazione geologica, struttura e colori, e sinceramente non so cosa aggiungere se non che la foto è straordinaria, quanta voglia d'estate trasmette.
Un caro abbraccio e grazie per la condivisione.

questa dev' essere una delle spiaggie pi`u luminose e belle in Grecia o anche nel mondo. E la tua foto una delle pi`u belle che abbia visto perche ha un ottimo quadro che dimostra bene la morfologia di questo luogo, ha magnifica profondit`a, splendida chiarezza e colori affascinanti e sopratutto non `e stata intimidata della luce fortissima ma ha saputo giocare con lei. el punto alto desde donde tomaste esta foto nos ofrece una vista fantástica, incluso un poco vertiginosa, sobre esta preciosa playa al pie de un impresionante acantilado.
La luz mediterránea crea un gran efecto sobre los elementos de este paisaje, y da una alta calidad a los colores, sobre todo al espectacular azul del mar.
Es una bella composición, muy bien realizada.

Ola Antonio ,
Linda esta praia tem uma agua com uma cor maravilhosa , mas acho um pouco perigosa devido a queda de pedras :) , cá em Portugal já ocorrerem vários acidentes com mortes de pessoas nas praias devido a queda de rochas :(, bom ponto de visão , parabéns!!

It surely is a very special beach, so insulated from the rest of the island.
I suppose you can only reach it by boat ...
Beautiful white - blue - green contrast.
Not the ideal place to buy a drink or an ice cream :)

penso che titolo meglio non potevi trovare...un POV mozzafiato e una spiaggia meravigliosa, la luce era bella potente e i bagnanti sono tutti con la testa all'ombra sotto lo sperone di roccia, i colori del mare sono un vero incanto...un preludio all'estate che verrà...

Indeed dream beach. Amazing rocky wall behind it and what a colour of water, I am sure it is very nice warm. I wouldn't mind a short stay there. You found a good POV to show us this beauty.

for sure a dreamlike beach, whih i have visited several years ago during a vacation in Epirus.. was a day rally arounf that fscinating island, with a stop down there at this beautiful blue water..

the name comes from the very difficult and steep trail that descends to the beach.

Una spiaggia fantastica, Antonio! E hai fermato dei colori incredibili... Foto da applauso, con queste rocce scoscese e incombenti. Perfette per me, che mi arrampicherei lassù, da vero animale da montagna quale sono. Io resisto in una spiaggia massimo venti minuti... poi devo scappare perché mi prende un tale nervoso...

i was in Lefkada island three years ago but unfortunately i did not visit porto Katsiki because of the weather.
Never mind about me the panoramic view of the place is unique with the famous sandy beach to enjoyed from a lot of visitors every year.Excellent presentation.
