Photographer's Note

This year the spring is late and, in the absence of light and color can be the nostalgia
of Mediterranean landscapes where light and color are the true protagonists.
The island of Milos, the pearl of the Aegean Sea, is the island of color par excellence: the fishermen choose to create various hues paint the doors of their "sirmata" where they put their boats in winter protected from the weather.

Quest’anno la primavera tarda ad arrivare e, in mancanza di luce e di colori può venire la nostalgia
di paesaggi mediterranei in cui la luce ed i colori sono i veri protagonisti.
L’isola di Milos, una delle perle del mar Egeo, è l’isola dei colori per eccellenza: i pescatori scelgono varie tonalità cromatiche per tinteggiare le porte dei loro “ sirmata “, dei locali in cui d’inverno mettono le loro barchette al riparo dalle intemperie.

The spring is late in Italy ? This year , the temperatures are mild , the sun is there in western France , even the drought !
This fishing village is very picturesque , with the attractive red ,blue and yellow doodrs and windows . This is asuperb place , and trully photogenic .

this is a really fascinating place, I like the way the fishermen take care of and adorn their "sirmata". The picture is splendid, full of light and lovely colours. Most of all I like the way it is composed, with great perspective and clear cut shapes: hill and buildings, sky, sea. As simple and as brilliant as that. The reflections are vivid and beautiful. c'è proprio bisogno di luce e colori in questa primavera che tarda ad arrivare, e tu ce ne offri una gamma di tutto rilievo proponendo una foto bellissima, con la quale ci fai ammirare una delle perle dell'Egeo, sei davvero fortunato a vivere in posti del genere.
La foto è bellissima tanto quanto i posto che ritrae, solare, luminosa e colorata... E che qualità! Dalle campagne al mare la classe rimane immutata.

Ciao Antonio,
These 'sirmata' make a very pleasant sight with their vivid colour palette on the white Cycladic architecture.
It's really a wonderful view of these sirmata between the blue sea and the brown dry vegetation on the rocks behind them. Their colours are also reflected in the sea water.
The brightness and the many colours give this picture an attractive and inviting Mediterranean atmosphere.

This is a very beautiful shot with lovely colors of the beach houses. The mountain on the back is a good color contrast. Blue water and blue sky make it very bright. Like the subtle reflection.
