Photographer's Note

Naoussa, is a quiet fishing village on the banks of the great Plastira Bay, on the north coast of the island of Paros, is on the heels of Mykonos in terms of gloss and glamor, it is transforming itself into a sought-after destination vacation.

It has a charming Venetian port, with fortification at the entrance, making it one of the most beautiful of the island. Behind the port is a maze of alleys with whitewashed houses and borders of floral and marine motifs and a number of stylish boutiques and souvenir shops.

This day despite wearing a bright sun, was a strong north wind, the waves broke hard on the pier and promenade, making them impassable for his splash, you can see the puddles on the pavement.

Naoussa, es un tranquilo pueblo de pescadores situado a orillas de la gran bahía de Plastira, en la costa norte de la isla de Paros, está pisándole los talones a Mykonos en cuanto a brillo y glamour, pues se esta transformando en un solicitado destino de vacaciones.

Tiene un entrañable puerto veneciano, con fortificación a su entrada, que hacen de este lugar uno de los mas bellos de la isla. Detrás del puerto hay una maraña de callejones con casas encaladas y cenefas de motivos marineros y florales y un cierto número de elegantes boutiques y tiendas de recuerdos.

Este día a pesar de que lucía un brillante sol, había un fuerte viento del norte, las olas rompían con fuerza sobre el muelle y paseos, haciéndolos intransitables por sus salpicaduras, podéis ver los charcos sobre el pavimento.

Hola Luis, otra bonita postal de los encantadores lugares visitados las pasadas vacaciones, esta podria ser de mi tierra con parades blancas y flores de vivos colores, la puerta rosa es toda una invitaciòn al disparo, te vino bien las salpicaduras del mar pues le dan a la foto unos finos e interesantes reflejos, en fin otro buen y encantador trabajo muy bien realizado, mis felicitaciones amigo mio. How much I want to be there and enjoy the view. I would sit in the white chairs and enjoyed the sun. It is a stunning place for colours and light which you have captured with wonderful clarity,saturation and composition.

Une image qui sent bon les vacances . Une prise de vue verticale très adaptée à ce genre de composition .Les fleurs et la porte ainsi que la ligne du cadrage de ta photo et la signature :) forment un bel ensemble colorés et les contrastes des couleurs entre elles sont très réussis.

Superb capture. The bright blue sky and bold pink paintwork standout vividly against the whitewashed building. The wet pavement appears to have a gloss finish and provides even more colour in the reflection.

That pink door is so striking right from the thumbnail. The water on the pavement creates beautiful artistic reflection and the flower with white facade is just fabulous against the blue sky.

Hola Luis,
otra bonita imagen de estas preciosas islas griegas, muy agradable de ver en estos fríos días de invierno.
Qué bonita se ve esta arquitectura tan blanca que siempre tiene un buen contraste con sus puertas y ventanas de colores, así como con las buganvilias que trepan por sus fachadas, decorándolas fantásticamente.
Es notable el efecto del pavimento de piedra, mojado por las olas, que parece un espejo y nos regala unos reflejos muy estéticos.
La foto tiene una buena luz y unos bellos colores, y la composición es elegante y eficaz. Buen detalle con el marco y su fina línea del color de las flores sobre fondo negro.
Un bonito trabajo.

Living so close to sea, can get floods sometime, but the wet floor had a wonderful mirror when this occurs.

bonita imagen, me gustan los colores, donde el rosa destaca y lo has sabido ver tu tambien, el juego de reflejos es tambien interesante, es un bonito rincon, bien visto,

Animo y no le des vueltas a lo de los moderadores, no merece la pena, (no merecen la pena), muchas veces toman decisiones sin criterio e injustas, eso lo sabemos todos....

hard to decide to pick this photo or your newest one.
I went with this shot because of the strong presence of the Pink.
when we think of Greece, Pink doesn't normally come to mind - for that reason its worthy of posting.
the wet water reflections are also a great addition to the scene.

Te iba a decir que un virus ha entrad en mi otro ordenador y se me ha comido unos cuandos folders, intento recuperar pero tenía todas mis fotos allí y hasta que se limpia todo no puedo levantar ninguna foto. Espero que podré recuperarlo porqué sino me voy a perder todos mis archivos de fotos...hard drive también está infectado...tienes alguna idea??
