A square format well selcetd for this close-up rich in details well collected. The textures of the stone, the colors and the contrasts are too well collected.
Have a nice evening,

Great composition with these ancient rocks, fascinating as it retains the unfinished size of the boat on the rock, its silhouette is perfect.
Good job on the capture and later with the scanner.
Good lighting and sharpness.

it is like a fossilized ship...
an ancient figure of Greece ship is well suggested,
whole wild state of rock wall is very artistic here,
thank you for your wonderful finding shot,

Hello Ike, Interesting view of this sculpture . One views this and wonders what might have happened that it was not finished. Good light and composition. This is a place I have not visited . Perhaps some day. I am sure you have some more interesting shots from here. Regards Roger

The point of view is showing with precision the details and colors of the architecture of the sculpture of the boat in the rock. It is well placed in the frame. The re is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

Well captured a fragment of ancient ruins carved into the rock. Great composition, good colors, but unfortunately the poor focus.

Vrlo interesantan rad starih majstora, brod nikad nije zaplovio ...
Dobar rad i tekst, lepa fotografija i secanje na jedan trenutak sa lepim pogledom na nedovrseni brod.
Prijatno vece i mirnu noc, zeli vam Paja.
Very interesting work of old masters, never sail boat ...
Good work and text, beautiful photographs and the memory of a moment with a beautiful view of the unfinished ship.

With reference to your note, why do I think of Franz Schubert "Unfinished Symphony": This work in hard rock is quite appealing because of its elegant curves!

nice detail of the artwork not finished. sometimes it is difficult to take nice images of this kind of carving, here the indirect light created a nice view. We can imagine what happened with the artist.
lakshmip1949 (19081) 2012-05-17 8:35
Someone was trying to carve a ship on the rock and whatever the reason, didn't finish it. We can see the imprints very well. Nice sharp image with details captured very well.

Sculpture dans la roche, bien vu et présentation excellente, dommage que "l'artiste" n'a pas fini son œuvre
mcmtanyel (12491) 2014-11-06 20:42
Schubert did not finish his symphony but that does not stop orchestras all around the world from performing it. Finishing an artwork is optional, it seems, one still has great art in the unfinished product. TFS!

It's a remain of past periods in the area Ike, the cliff was sculpted, I don't know what it is exactly but nature reasserts itself
