View from above of this cute and colourful port of the fish village Mandrakia, early in the morning,about 10:οοo'clock.

Mandrakia

Mandrakia,are a fish village with a small beach of almost 150 meters with dark grey pebble and visitors are impressed with its traditional color. Here you see the "sirmata" that are small lodges,in front of the little harbor,in which the boats are drawn from the sea and placed in during the Winter. A lot of fishermen, the summer period change "sirmata" in rural residences.

Μανδράκια

Τα Μανδράκια,είναι ένα ψαροχώρι με μια μικρή παραλία σχεδόν 150 μέτρων με σκούρο γκρι βότσαλο και εντυπωσιάζει τον επισκέπτη με το παραδοσιακό του χρώμα. Εδώ βλέπετε τα «σύρματα» δηλαδή τα μικρά σπιτάκια, μπροστά στο λιμανάκι, μέσα στα οποία φυλάσσονται οι βάρκες το χειμώνα. Πολλοί ψαράδες, την καλοκαιρινή περίοδο μετατρέπουν τα «σύρματα» σε εξοχική κατοικία.

Hello Danos, This is probably the best shot I have looked at this evening. Great choice for posting. The color is magnificent with the boats of all colors aligned and moored as if it was a military order. Fine color for the water with the view of it all the way to the bend in the shot. As I have said and believed many times, boats and water are always a winner. Finally the rock formations in the front and back give ample depth and character to the shot. Very well done. The coloured boats are beautiful, again so characteristic and remind me of those in Sicilia. And of course the emerald water is unmistakable with the rocky coves and inlets. if I don't remember wrong you have posted other photos of this mandrakia from a higher pov. Here I like very much the row of boats in foreground which are very fine subjects with their colours and shapes and which create a diagonal. But also the colours and textures of the sea are splendid and the sight of the hill and rocks at right. It's a very plastic photo with a great sense of depth and furthermore the early morning light gives a wonderful atmosphere.
One of your best -IMO- about this subject.

Your pov, creating a diagonal line with the moored boats, gives a natural left/right progression across the frame.
Are those boat houses, in the b/g, mirroring the line of the boats?
