Iviron monastery, one of the bigests in Mount Athos. It was built by Georgians (under the supervision of Ioannes the Iberian) between 980-983 A.D.

This is a nicely composed shot of this monastery. The inclusion of the trees and mountain in the background was a good choice which add depth and interest to the scene. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

Hello Nikos,
A quite nice composition. It's just a façade, but age has given it character, The texture of the faded paint is well captured in this sharp picture. The forested hillside and the tall, naked mountain-peak make a fine background.
