Photographer’s Note

Early morning is the time for a long walk on the Volos seafront. A nice opportunity to get some nice shots with the mirror like sea surface and the nice colors of the morning light. On top of that you can also buy some nice fresh fish from the small boats swarming to sell their catch. Wish you were here...

the arrangement is just beautifull..this almost resembles an HDR..youve controlled the exposure very well and ofcourse the slow shutter has opened up the compo even more

Καλησπέρα Αργύρη.
Πολύ ωραίο το αποτέλεσμα έδωσαν τα "καμμένα" άσπρα. Μου δίνει την εντύπωση ενός εξωπραγματικού τοπίου.
Νομίζω ότι όταν η επεξεργασία γίνεται σε μια ήδη καλή φωτογραφία το αποτέλεσμα είναι δημιουργικό και απόλυτα αποδεκτό.
Στην προκειμένη περίπτωση η φωτογραφία σου είναι ούτως η άλλως μια πολύ καλή λήψη που η επεξεργασία της έδωσε κάτι το διαφορετικό.

Hello Argiris, the orange coloured sheds are the perfect accompaniament to the blue and black in this composition. The high contrast emphasises the outlines and shadows of the cranes and rigging against the metallic sheen of the water very dramatically.

Light is amazing especially with dark shadows and reflections of boats on splendid Aegean blues. I liked vivid blues at front and eye catching contrasts of orange facades front of messy cranes and silos. Your touch to all over scene is just spectacular. Congratulations. Ευθυμίες.

Undoubtley the early morning light in Volos has a peculiar quality reflecting in the sea but your pp work transfigure the whole scene into a triumph of light. Splendid!
You mentioned tonemapping, may I ask you: with or withouot HDR?
