Photographer’s Note

Hello dears, welcome in year 2009;)

On this occasion it was decided to upload this funny shot, taken in Greece during last holidays...After seeing this boat immediatelly a thought about Beatles' song appeared;)

In the town where I was born,
Lived a man who sailed to sea,
And he told us of his life,
In the land of submarines,

So we sailed on to the sun,
Till we found the sea of green,
And we lived beneath the waves,
In our yellow submarine,

We all live in a yellow submarine,

And our friends are all aboard,
Many more of them live next door,
And the band begins to play.

Of course it was not a submarine but a kind of exploratory boat;)

Nicely done with the BG slightly out of focus. This helps to make the boat stand out. It almost looks out of place.

Witojcie w Nowym Piknym Roku,
dobrze, ze pojawilo sie to ostatnie zdanie w notce bo juz bylem gotow uwierzyc ze grecka marynarka wojenna charakteryzuje sie pstrokatymi kolorami :)
Bardzo fajne ujecie, zabawne. Od strony technicznej bardzo dobre.

P.S. My kiedys z kumplami w technikum mielismy starego, zoltego VW transportera i to byla nasza Yellow Submarine, byla nawet na pokladzie owa piosenka Beatlesow :)

Although I am not sure how to read your name 'eo', the yellow submarine is really very fit title for this photo, showing a bright yellow subject that is well placed.

The color of blue in the water, the stone walls providing a superb BG for the yellow. I like the blur detail of the cluster of houses so that they are not too distracting.

Great shot. Happy 2009. Aha! You almost made me believe it is a submarine!

Witajcie,

Piosenka Beatlesów brzmi od razu w głowie. Takie żółte i inne łodzie podwodne były tez w Tunezji. Ładne letnie zdjęcie, fajne mocne kolorki.

Witaj Mik,
The BG isn't so interesting, but as it is cleverly blurred, it doesn't disturb much. But a true yellow submarine deserves a post, even if it isn't really a submarine. The blue of the sea aids it standing out more and it's nicely placed off centre.

nothing better than a yellow boat to make everyone immediately start humming "yellow submarine" and get a dose of optimism :) great contrast with the saturated blue of the water, it certainly adds to the cheerful mood of the scene.

yes, one immediatelly starts singing we all live in a yellow submarine when having a quick peek to this photo. :)
Fantastic yellow something, most probably used to chase all living beings down there away because of such a radiation yellow black contrast.
Beautiful bright and vivid photo, so vibrant and positive with its good mood being most contagious.
