Photographer’s Note
Second take from inside Yeni Camii, during praying time. For the first photo, take a look HERE. The note of the "old" post:
"This is a photo from the interior of Yeni Camii (means "New Mosque" in turkish), in Komotini, where almost half of the populations are Muslims, during the noon prayer. I would like to thank the Mufti of Komotini, Mr Tzemali Metso ( SEE HERE ), the spiritual leader of the Muslims of Komotini, for giving me permision to photograph the interior of the Mosque, during prayer, it was a unique, useful and very interesting experience for me!
You can have a partial external view of Yeni Camii *HERE* .
I went for a long shutter speed, because I wanted to catch the movement of the believers praying. Hope you like it this way, I have also taken photo with much faster shutter speeds."

Hi Hercules,
that´s very good that you chose a longer exposure so we can see the movements during prayer. This adds so much life to it. Also the rest is perfect, as always. The portrait of the Mufti is excellent, too.
Compliments, christian

Hi Hercules
Wonderful sharpness contrastingly well against the motion blur of the bowing crowd of worshippers. Good colour, sharpness, & very well managed interior lighting. Tfs!

Hi Hercules,
I like the use of a long shutter speed here. The movement in the people seems to accentuate the importance of their praying.
It sets them free from the rich decorated surrounding.

Yeni Cami is everyhere I guess, Istanbul, Edirne, Ankara etc...because there is always a "new camii" in town...like "The new Girl in Town" :))
I loved the movement of the prayers...but there is something wrong in the blue underneath them (as well as the patterns of rugs)..and also, sharpness and strong contrast elsewhere decreases the strenth of the prayers...I think, it could be darker overall ; this much light decreases the mysticism in it..
all the best whateever, very nice photo from a mosque..

Hello Hercules,
is simply wonderful your photos, so full of wonderful details and beautiful colors.
Excellent POV with the columns in the foreground and the perception of the movement of people in prayer given by the long exposure time. Excellent.
A dear embrace.

Hello Hercules,
It is a privilege to witness this moment in the act of worship. The symmetry of the composition is very necessary here, and the movement of the worshippers unites them in a very effective way.
Best wishes....Maggie
