Xanthi view

Known references to Xanthi (Ξάνθη), or Xanthia (Ξάνθεια), date back to 879 AD. It began as a small village and experienced all the tumultuous periods of the history of Thrace, such as raids, disasters, ethnic conflicts, civil wars. The population of the region of Xanthi had dwindled down to almost nothing and almost everything had been destroyed when the Ottomans conquered the region in 1361. For this reason, the Ottomans brought settlers from the depths of Asia Minor, which is how Genisea (Γενισέα) was created, while Oraio (Ωραίο) and Xanthi remained mainly Greek and Christian centres.

The monastery or church building is framed nicely through the trees. Like the colour which makes it stand out. The note is informative & supports the picture well

I like this picture for its vertical format, chosen pov and composition! It seems to be a pleasant urban place! I'd like to see more of that church too!

It looks to believe this would be the best POV found to show a whole view on the edifice, Costantino.
Otherwise you might take 5m+ ahead to shoot.
The brown/orange tone is dominating, even through the naked big tree branchs.
Many street elements included, some I'd give-up, but neverthless pic. shows a notable monument in town.

Hi Costantino,

The length of the path is giving depth to the composition. The trees are helping to fram the church. The point of view is showing the detaild and colors of the church. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
