Photographer’s Note
Here you see the old clock which is located inside the castle of Trikala. It was constructed in the 17th century and restored around mid-20th century. It has become sort of a symbol of the city.
Photo taken from the old part of the town, which is called Varousi. You can see fragments of the architecture of this beautiful neighbourhood, with beautiful old houses. One of the most characteristic things are these Ottoman style, "closed" balconies, called "sahnissia", that you can see on the left part of the picture.
Irrelevant, but remarkable, IMHO, is how important is television in our days. Trikala were never supposed to be a tourist destination. But after a very popular TV serie (a soap opera) was filmed in the beautiful town, lots of travel agencies organize tours around the places where the "shootings" took place and many groups from all over the country started visiting Trikala.
IS THERE LIFE AFTER TV???

Hola Hercules,

Angel.

Incredibly beautiful and vivid, it makes you think that you are seeing this scene with your own eyes! Actually, we are seeing this through YOUR own eyes and that is the beauty of it! Excellent work! Thank you for sharing!

Hola Hercules,

Hello Hercules,
The neighboring buildings provide a spectacular frame for the clock tower. The tower itself is photographed from a corner, and that is a fortuitous choice. It creates ideal two-point perspective, with all the "level, parallel lines" from the two visible sides, if extended, converge at two vanishing points on the horizon line.
The lighting is first rate, as is the informative note.
Warm regards, dear Hercules,
Bulent

Hola Hercules.
Felicitaciones.
Abrazos.
