The amazing rock formations of Meteora in north western Greece. There are some rock climbers abseilling down the side, 3rd pillar from the right. Kastraki is the smaller and nicer (imho) town to stay in. Kalampaka is the other option. There are 6 surviving monasteries atop some of the other big rocks scattered around the town.

Très impressionnantes ces formations rocheuses. Elles semblent sortir de la terre pour pouvoir prendre l'air. Il faudrait une forme humaine tout près pour avoir une relation dimensionnelle.

The trees are framing well the rock formations. The point of view is showing the details and colors of ther meteora. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Very interesting geological formations and a good capture of these natural sculptures. It is a bit hard to get an idea of their sizes, are the vegetation trees or bushes?

Jump from Spain to Greece?
Will never imagined it was Greece or Meteora with not on top monasteries
Uauuu, just found the climbers, how difficult must it be, I , from far, would prefer visit monasteries and rest at the terraces with views
Like the capture with the rocks as protagonists ( they deserved to be)
Well done, regards

Great shot of this iconic area - haven't been there but it is still on my list. Good POV to give a hint of the gaps in between.

Magnificent view of the unique rocks formation "rising" from green forest around.
Details shown in fine clarity while daylight was favorable.
Exquisite nature's picture.
Enjoy your weekend,

What a majestic natural structure! Your photo does great justice to this natural wonder. Thanks for the pleasant and informative entry.
PS. If you ended up in Cappadocia, perhaps we might enjoy more sights like this from you - hint hint, nudge nudge?

the simple composition you chose for this picture and the depth and sharpness you've achieved are remarkable. They give us the opportunity to study the amazing rock formations in a very rewarding way and the more we do so, the more fascinating they become. The textures are superb and your excellent lighting has given lovely colours with an almost pastel quality as well as shadows that accentuate the "plasticity" of the imposing, natural shapes. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
