The Holy Monastery of Rousanou/St. Barbara in Meteora* was founded in the middle of 16th century AD and decorated in 1560.

*The Metéora (Greek: "Μετέωρα", lit. "middle of the sky", "suspended in the air" or "in the heavens above" — etymologically related to "Meteorite") is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece, second only to Mount Athos. The six monasteries are built on natural sandstone rock pillars, at the northwestern edge of the Plain of Thessaly near the Pineios river and Pindus Mountains, in central Greece.
Studies suggest that the pinnacles were formed about 60 million years ago during the Paleogene Period.

I admire people who can go to great heights to get pictures, Unfortunately I cannot.
This is a nicely composed picture, with lovely coloured roofs, and I think you did very well.

Superb! Another outstanding presentation of Meteora. I was here on September 2012. Impressive heritage of the monks. Perfect sharpness, realistic spring (winter) colours! TFS!
