snowy Volos

Volos is the administrative centre of the Magnesia regional unit. Many of the city domains are separated through natural barricades, such as rivers.

Three main rivers/mountain torrents all rise from mount Pelion (1651m), crossing the city to create a unique urban geography, before ending in the Pagasetic Gulf flowing west. The Anavros river, famous for Jason's pass, divides the Nea Demetriada district from the rest of the urban area. Krausidonas is the major river passing through the city, and constitutes the natural lung of the urbanized area of Volos, as well as the boundary between the major municipalities of the metropolitan city, the municipalities of Volos and Nea Ionia. Xirias (Ξηριάς), is the largest torrent of the metropolitan urban area of Volos, and passes through the Nea Ionia municipal area.

Je pense qu'il serait grand temps de remiser la motocyclette pour l'hiver. Ta photo est intéressante avec tous ces voiliers qui attendent le printemps pour prendre la mer.
Excellente composition et bel éclairage malgré l'absence du soleil.

Hello Costantino,
The weather looks very bad but the photo is good. It looks almost like you have partially desaturated the colours but I am sure this is how it looked. Winter sometimes has very few colours. But the greyness with a few spots of red and yellow is very attractive.

I can't blame the rider for abandoning his motorcycle, I won't ride it also if it's snowing. Nice winter scene, good capture with good lighting and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

A superb image of extraordinary graphics that bring the boats and their masts, the image conveys a sensation of cold with snow falling at the time of the execution of the photo.
Today in Madrid we have a very cold day and has been snowing something in the morning.
I like good brightness and dominant white with snow.

I never imagined that in Greece it was snowing on the sea! That is the charm of your photo, I like the almost monochrome picture made by the snowfall, which stand out the bright yellows and reds! Bello also cut the frame!

Faire de la moto sous la neige il faut savoir bien piloter faire du bateau je pense que c'est plus simple, superbe image hivernale avec cette neige très original.

Κωνσταντίνε καλημέρα,
όμορφο αλλά και κάπως αναπάντεχο το σκηνικό να βλέπει κάποιος το χιόνι να καλύπτει τα αγκυροβολιμένα ιστιοφόρα στο λιμάνι του Βόλου.Το μηχανάκι μάλλον έχει ξεχαστεί στην προκυμαία.

I just don't associate Greece with snow, probably because I've only been there in summer. This is interestingly, almost monochrome. It reminds me of those Photoshopped images which are monochrome apart from the key object which is is full colour. Frankly a cliche that I am bored with! But this is natural, and very cleverly framed. By the way, I checked my boat yesterday: it's out of the water in a local boatyard, and covered in snow, just like these yachts!
