Photographer’s Note
Chania of Volos - Greece GLart © 2009
I will develop little more description as very rightly writes me firned Brigitte.
In that photograph is my son, and the city that looks at is the Volos that is connected with fabulous Centaur - half person and horse, the oldest relation - the kingdom of "Pelia" and the brilliant marriages of "Pilea" with the "Thetida", where assisted the gods of Olympus, the Jason and eminent of the "Argonautik" expedition.
In the depth the first mountains are the first in the world old settlements from "Neolithik" Season, with more important centres "Sesklo" (7000 B.C.) and "Dimini" (5000 B.C.).
The second line of mountains that is distinguished in the depth is the region of "Agchialo" built in the ruins of ancient city "Pyrasso" that is considered that it was lived by the 6th millenium up to 217 B.C. when destroyed by Philippos [E]'. In their place were founded 2nd century A.D. Fthiotidas Thebes, the more important commercial centre of old christ period, where coming up to the end of 7th century.
P.S. [Forgive me for my mediocre English description ]

Bonjour George,
Trθs beau panorama, on voit vraiment trθs loin!
Bonne soirιe

Hi George,
Great panorama and excellent idea to add the human figure for some perspective and double interest. Your son has an interesting pose in the photo - arms crossed and weight shifting on one leg. I like your title - a good interpretation of what he may be thinking.
Cheers,
Jordan

Ciao George,
Complimenti
Mario
