dull routine
'Monotonous' is a popular song written by June Carroll and Arthur Siegel for Leonard Sillman's Broadway revue New Faces of 1952. The song was written based on the experiences of its singer Eartha Kitt.
Monotonous Lyrics
Everyone gets into a dull routine
If they don’t get a chance to change the scene
I could not be wearier
Life could not be drearier
If I lived in Siberia
I’ll tell ya what I mean
I met a rather amusing fool
While on my way to Istanbul
He bought me the Black Sea for my swimming pool
Monotonous
For thirty days, salt air I sniffed
While I was shipwrecked and cast adrift
With a man who looked like Montgomery Clift
Monotonous
For what it’s worth, throughout the earth
I’m known as femme fatale
But when the yawn comes up like thunder, brother
Take back your Taj Mahal
Jack Fath made a new style for me
I even made Johnny Ray smile for me
A camel once walked a mile for me
Monotonous, monotonous
I could not be wearier
Life could not be drearier
If I lived in Siberia
Traffic has been known to stop for me
Prices even rise and drop for me
Harry S.Truman plays bop for me
Monotonous, monotone-eous
T.S. Elliott writes books for me
King Farouk’s on tenterhooks for me
Sherman Billingsley even cooks for me
Monotonous, monotonous
I could not be wearier
Life could not be drearier
If I lived in Siberia
Though I know I’ve acres of dough
I’m not sure of the amount
It might be exciting some day if I learned to count
Chian Kai-Shek sends me pots of tea
Gaylord Hauser sends me vitamin D
And, furthermore, Ike likes me
Monotonous, monotonous
Monotonous

Hello Georgios,
The man across the square with a look of resignation to what seems to be your daily routine, just walking and immersed in thought. I like the simplicity of the composition and what it conveys.
Best regards,
Charo

Hello Georgios,
A nice daily life shot where you are showing this man taking a daily walk perhaps? I like the gloomy atmosphere here with the fallen leaves here and there. Nice facades of buildings which seem to be empty as the day hasn't started. Nice soft colors.

Hi Georgios,
I like how youve framed the walking man with the two trees. Good sharpness color & mood captured here. Excellent graphism & diffused lighting. I like the subtle reflections in the wet pavement & the fallen Autumn leaves. Tfs!

Hello Georgios,
Wet, dark and alone, this gentleman and his routine, it is a sign of hardship. But don’t we all feel this way one time or another? We all have a bright side at the same time we all possess a dark side. I have a feeling that I am seeing myself walking alone one dark morning. However we all know that one day the sun will rise and put a light of hope on our lives. As the four seasons come and go, in our lives also comes a moment when we feel as though there is absolutely no end in sight. What do we do? We keep walking and walking until the moment we hope to encounter arrives to us. Like this gentleman, he keeps walking until his routine will turn into a routine full of hope.
With my very best regards,
Thank you for your visit today, Georgios
Have very meaningful days ahead,
Nobu.

Hello Georgios,
Beyond a certain age, when you are retired, inactive, and not wealthy, life is bleak indeed, as a fatalistic expectation. This is a beautiful picture a little sad, emotional. The quality is excellent. Bravo.
Have a nice evening
