Makrinitsa mirror reflection
Makrinitsa is 17 klm from Volos, but this is a datum for the mind only. The eye is overwhelmed by the village's unique position on the mountain right above the city. Makrinitsa has a well-earned second name: The Balcony of Pelion, for the visitor of its main square will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the city spreading out below at a depth of 600 meters. Beyond the captivating whiteness of the city lie the azure waters of the Pagasitikos Gulf in Pelion's loving, green embrace. Anyone planning a trip around the world in 80 days will undoubtedly include Makrinitsa on his list of stopovers.
Makrinitsa's history is long and rich and its contribution to the prosperity and progress of the area praiseworthy. Though it was set to the torch in the past, the imposing mansions have like the Phoenix been reborn from their ashes, and today they stand tall and proud and beautiful, perennial reminders of their glorious past.

different way of showing some landscape :-) The drawings on the mirror definitely add more reality to the picture. I like the framing which left plenty of space to the sky and made the whole image lighter. Good sharpness and well balanced colors.
Thanks for sharing

I have the strange impression of an imminent land slide that will destroy the historic buildings, already slowly falling, and those cars rolling down into the abyss!

Good idea & something diff from you, I quite like the wide view through the street mirror with the mix of 'in focus' and 'out of focus' points making the eye roves around the image with degrees of distortion. The reflecting scene offers another dimension making us peep a second look just to see what it's all about!! It's very well handled in such an effective composition with deep perspective and touch of red caught the eye straight away and pulls you through to the other side and much more to explore. Excellent shot, Congrats

A different view point through this mirror circle, the cliff looks more precarious at this angle.
Well thought out and managed, Tfs.
Have a nice Thursday,

unusual but very innovative composition! Excellent colours, sharpness and clarity. I liked the way you left the sky to fill up the right side of the frame. The bright red border of the mirror provides striking colour contrast. Beautiful presentation.
Have a nice evening.

Saw this a while ago, thought what should be wrtitten about - but this is a good opportunity to comment:
Nice idea to view the mountain slope through a traffic mirror.
Just acn't comprehend why on earth sombody would draw ugly graffiti on, endanger the driver's viewes.
Must be a beautiful view if looked back in opposite way.
Enjoy a nice weekend,

A pity the mirror has been tagged by graffiti, but not something you have any control over. A creative and well envisioned picture which draws intrigue and leaves a good deal to the imagination. It would seem as if the village suddenly drops to far reaching depths below, but alas, it's only the distortion. :) Simple by design, but the execution and result have played out very well to catch immediate attention and show a unique perspective. Nicely done indeed. Have a great day ahead. All the best.

This is a very pleasant reflection photo. It's interesting that I have a photo of a very similar mirror placed in the same position in the frame. However, the view in this mirror is much nicer than the one I photographed.

Belle photo miroir de ces maisons perchées et ces glaces dans les villes attirent les photographes et généralement le coup d'il est sympa
