* A different approach to the same issue with another photographic concept gives you a different perception of second "or" double standard ..
What about you?

A double standard is the unjust application of different sets of principles for similar situations. The concept implies that a single set of principles encompassing all situations (a "single standard") is the desirable ideal. The term has been used in print since at least 1895. A double standard may take the form of an instance in which certain concepts (often, for example, a word, phrase, social norm, or rule) are perceived as acceptable to be applied by one group of people, but are considered unacceptable—taboo—when applied by another group.
A double standard, thus, can be described as a sort of biased, morally unfair suspension (toward a certain group) of the principle that all are equal in their freedoms. Such double standards are seen as unjustified because they violate a basic maxim of modern legal jurisprudence: that all parties should stand equal before the law. Double standards also violate the principle of justice known as impartiality, which is based on the assumption that the same standards should be applied to all people, without regard to subjective bias or favoritism based on social class, rank, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, species or other distinctions. A double standard violates this principle by holding different people accountable according to different standards.
The phrase "life is not fair" may be invoked in order to mollify
concerns over double standards.
There is a distinction to be made between double standards and hypocrisy, which implies the stated or presumed acceptance of a single standard a person claims to hold himself or herself accountable to, but which, in practice, may be disregarded. Being hypocritical to the double-standard is then a positive example "of hypocrisy" as well....etc...w ikipedia.

I love these types of photos very much.
Too bad the sun isn't out here this time of the year to capture them.
the red, its almost as if there is blood being spilled into the water from above, like in some horror movie.
the abstract forms make the photo A+

mesutilgim (83046) 2011-11-24 23:54
By far better than the previous one !
Good idea to put it upside down. The intensive deep blue at the right corner, creates a perfect balance with the red's and orange's of the boat.
TFS and best regards

Original idea with this frame, interesting colourful result, vivid tones and painting effect, well made.
ManuMay (34447) 2011-11-25 0:55
This time the idea to turn down the image works very well, enhancing the eyecatching effect, great colours and brights and an original composition playing with light and contrasts and for sure with colours, excellent sharpness and definition...
Have a nice day...

what a fascinating image! (together with the title it is really thought provoking). Great colors and excellent reflections. You made my day with this photo that is accompanied by a very interesting note. My compliments!

Well done and TFS!

I like the idea, which is in the basis of your series with colorful optical reflections, very much. They reflect human feelings in such an artistic manner. This scene is very aesthetic and symbolic too. A very clever idea, which has been realized perfectly well!

Ciao dear Georgios,
very interesting the concept of "standards" that you write in the notes for accompanying this beautiful reflection. Personally, I prefer the version in the WS because I prefer to see the subjects in their own reality and I like to see how the reflections can distort this reality, often creating fantastic shapes and colors. Excellent work, sincere congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice week!
Angshu (55407) 2011-11-27 20:11
The note works well with the picture. Fine shot with the reflections of the boat, as if in water colour, with good contrast between the blue water & the deep red of the boat! Very beautiful!
adores (36195) 2011-12-06 17:16
Another red boat:)! You captured a really good detail!-just a little part of the boat and then the great reflection that seems like an abstract colourful painting. Good combination of colours!
sacavem (18610) 2011-12-07 3:45
It's so colorful and sharp
With addition of great framed and reflection, it's splendid.
josepmarin (57711) 2011-12-08 4:02
a good idea, you have rotated 180º the image, in order to give an appearance of abstract painting to these reflections of the boat, with a magnificent distortion due to the wavinesses of the water.
The result is very graphical and the vivid colors add a high chromatic quality to the composition.
A good work.
